Sinossi

Giallo - anthology (179 pagine) - Behind every great man, there is a great woman.

We have all read the stories by Dr. John Watson in which he narrates his adventures with Sherlock Holmes, but behind every great man, there is a great woman… and Mary Morstan holds her own place in the hearts of all Sherlockians. Today, newly discovered papers reveal the role she played in the adventures we know so well, which cast a light on her frequent absences from home and which recount her own thrilling personal adventures in Victorian London in a series of poignant tales full of passion and mystery, pain and suspense, love and hope.

Stefano Guerra is a pediatric neuropsychiatrist, psychoanalyst, professor, and retired school headmaster. He is the author of theatrical texts and film scripts, and he founded “Uno Studio in Holmes”, the Italian Sherlockian Society, of which he has also been president. He is a member of the Baker Street Irregulars and has authored several articles published in Italy and abroad on the world of Sherlock Holmes, as well as a Sherlockian encyclopedia (with Solito).

Enrico Solito is a pediatrician and child neuropsychiatrist who has worked extensively with Emergency. He is a past president of Uno Studio in Holmes, the first Italian member of the Baker Street Irregulars, and also a member of other Sherlockian associations. With Stefano Guerra, he has co-authored the only Italian Sherlockian encyclopedia, as well as apocryphal Holmes stories and novels set in different contexts.

Mauro Castellini is a Los Angeles-based film producer. Born in Mantova, Italy, after obtaining his Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences at Milano’s IULM, he moved to Rome, where his film career took off. Having been introduced to Holmes’ world by his friends Mr. Solito and Mr. Guerra, he’s now teamed up with them to write this book, that marks his literary debut.

Gian Luca Guerra was born in Rome to a family connected to the film and cultural industries, in which he has passionately worked his entire life. Inspired by a story he found interesting, he joined Stefano Guerra, Enrico Solito, and Mauro Castellini in writing The Adventures of Mary Morstan Watson.

Welcome to Candy Cane Hollow, where every day feels like Christmas!

It's New Year's Eve in Candy Cane Hollow.

This winter wonderland may look festive and be home to the Claus Family, but all is not as it seems.

The festivities take a turn for the bizarre when the giant glitter ball comes crashing down on cantankerous elf chef, Greasy.

Chief Superintendent Wiggles is sure the death is just a tragic accident, but Holly isn't so sure. Greasy was lots of things, but it appears that popular wasn't one of them.

Holly begins her own investigation with the eager help of Mrs. Claus, while dimpled Nick Claus warns them both to be careful.

Was the death an accident? Or is that a false ho-ho-hope?

On New Year's Eve, in 1923, someone walked into Mickey McFadden's queer speakeasy hidden beneath the Big City Little Theater and shot her and her dog, EZ, dead. Or sort of, mostly, kind of dead. Because instead of crossing over, they become trapped within the bar's walls. And though EZ eventually manages to wriggle his way free, Mickey remains, her spirit frozen in time.

In 2022, employees of the Big City Little Theater encounter a stray dog. When Ciara, the theater's bookkeeper, saves the dog from being hit by a truck, she begins to suspect there's something odd about the mysterious canine. Ciara and her friends happen upon the sealed-up speakeasy in the theater's subbasement—and find the dog inside. Their discovery launches them on the investigation of a lifetime, complete with an ancient murder to solve, strange occurrences to explain, and a missing person to find.

When Mickey's spirit begins to find her way out, she and Ciara finally come face-to-face. And it's more than the speakeasy's old wiring that makes sparks fly. Can they solve the murder and figure out how EZ returned to the world of the living before the clock strikes midnight on the next New Year's Eve? Because if they don't, they're pretty certain Mickey's time will finally be up.

Revenge is sweet. But justice is sweeter.
Seven months ago, one of the FBI’s own went missing without a trace. The forensic analyst was smart and beautiful, and she had been dating Joseph Larson...the same man who’d been working with the Chicago PD to investigate the young woman’s missing persons case. The same man who’d just been forced to resign from the Bureau.
Something’s terribly wrong, FBI Special Agent Amelia Storm knows it in her gut. But knowing and proving are two very different things.
When Special Agent Journey Russo blows into the office implicating Larson in her sister’s disappearance, Amelia is even more certain that the disgraced ex-agent is involved. The question is how.
As Amelia and her partner investigate, she and Zane quickly realize that Larson has woven a twisted web of deceit that encompasses mafia influence and political sway. Worse, the truth behind the analyst’s disappearance is darker than anything they could have imagined.
Amelia is determined to find the young woman and ensure Joseph Larson gets what he deserves—a miserable life in an eight-by-ten cell. But Larson is just as determined to see Amelia dead.
From the wickedly dark minds of Mary Stone and Amy Wilson comes Storm’s Revenge, book nine of the Amelia Storm Series, where you’ll think twice about who you trust.
