  This collection is about examining all that makes us unique, and it is about finding meaning and healing from the difficulties we encounter in life.

  One of three volumes responding to the 7 October attack, Law and Society begins with a legal and a genocide studies critique of the claim that Israel is genocidal; another reflects on the absence of an understanding of antisemitism in international legal discourse. 
  There are reflections on experiences in the Palestine solidarity movement and on the twists that discourse there takes. Contributions draw on Judaism, feminism, and sociology to face what happened and to trace how Israelis were transported back to a quintessentially pre-Israel Jewish experience. Others survey reports of antisemitism around the globe in the wake of 7 October, including pieces about Britain and Germany. 
  This work will appeal to scholars, students, and activists with an interest in antisemitism, Jewish studies, and the politics of Israel.

  In this new biography of Abraham, Judaism's foundational figure, Anthony Julius offers an account of the origins of a fundamental struggle within Judaism between skepticism and faith, critique and affirmation, thinking for oneself and thinking under the direction of another. Julius describes Abraham's life as two separate lives, and as a version of the collective life of the Jewish people. 
   
   
    
  Abraham's first life is an early adulthood of questioning the polytheism of his home city of Ur Kasdim until its ruler, Nimrod, condemns him to death and he is rescued, he believes, by a miracle. In his second life, Abraham's focus is no longer on critique but rather on conversion and on his leadership over his growing household, until God's command that he sacrifice his son Isaac. This test, the Akedah (or "Binding"), ends with another miracle, as he believes, but as Julius argues, it is also a catastrophe for Abraham. The Akedah represents for him an unsurpassed horizon—and in Jewish life thereafter. This book focuses on Abraham as leader of the first Jewish project, Judaism, and the unresolvable, insurmountable crisis that the Akedah represents—both in his leadership and in Judaism itself.

  Both, namely the Heart and Mind, are the basic ingredients for forming a humble person. 
  The heart is like a small child who if left alone will endanger himself and others, Mind is like a 
  parent who if there are no children, the completeness of the family becomes unbalanced. The 
  heart will be good if it comes from wise directions at the level of reason, but it will be bad if it 
  comes from directions to the lack of understanding of the Mind. 
  This reason is also developed into a beautiful sentence from the scholars of wisdom, namely 
  العقل السليم فى الجسم التسليم 
  "A good reason is found in a good body" 
  in that sentence, there are those who say that its application is very dialectical, meaning that not 
  only is the reason mentioned first, all humans are able to implement it. the meaning of that 
  sentence is that the body can be the first application. dialectic is one of the evidences of a fact 
  where something cannot be 
  a thing that stops statically or definitely, it is so easy to move position from the beginning to 
  point A to point B, from being at point B a minute later it can be positioned at 
  point A, the most important part in this case is Nothing Is Out of the Participation 
  of the Almighty. Namely "a good body is very strongly bound to a good mind" 
  then it becomes; 
  الجسم السليم فى العقل التسليم 
  According to the famous Cultural Expert and Scholar Emha Ainun Nadjib, the following are the 
  various kinds of inversions of a dialectic, which are the diversity of perspectives and ways of 
  thinking of every human being who is willing to process it, for the sake of continuity and 
  suitability of a life path that is carried out.

  A strong gut feeling led Manuela to volunteer at an Ayahuasca Healing Resort in the Amazon Rainforest. Within a few weeks, she leaves her home in Mallorca to travel to Peru. The plan was, to interpret for foreigners and shamans before and after ceremonies and learn from shamans and visitors. She ended up staying 3 months and participating during 19 ceremonies herself. Spiritual insights and biographic background stories of an as cold and grey perceived environment make clear how we see the world, the way we see the world and why what we think is true, is just a story, designed by our own mind. Her conclusion: What you think is true, is just what you think is true. A story. An interpretation though the filters of the mind. To find your way you cannot just think, study and contemplate. Ayahuasca is not the solution either. It takes daring to feel in every moment and face our inner world to heal and bring out our gifts. Her message: Be yourself, not your story!
