Sinossi

Diversity is a high value for younger generations—but too often, they're not finding it in the church.
Emerging generations in the West are more diverse than ever—ethnically, socioeconomically, educationally, and politically. And as church attendance among younger generations declines rapidly, research shows that one of their primary sticking points is the lack of diversity in most churches.
In Church for Everyone, pastors Dan Kreiss and Efrem Smith address this phenomenon head-on. In this research-based, theologically informed, and practical book, they explore the younger generations' expectations and disappointments with church and hold out a vision for true diversity taken from the pages of Scripture. As experienced church leaders themselves, Kreiss and Smith share a wealth of practical experience and stories from the trenches of multiethnic ministry.
The good news is that God has already called the church to diversity. As we seek to live out this calling in our own local contexts, we can become the demonstration of God's love for all humanity that he has designed the church to be—and that the younger generation is so desperately looking for.

Women have always been central to the faith. In the Bible, women have played vital and often surprising roles. To understand these remarkable women, we are honored to bring you one of our most highly regarded scholars and teachers, Professor Barbara Reid, O.P., Ph.D. Professor Reid begins this series by exploring the creation stories in Genesis 1 and 2, examining how God created male and female equally in the divine image. Turning to the New Testament, you will look first at Mary, the mother of Jesus. Explore Mary especially through the Gospels of Luke and John. Professor Reid explores Jesus'' friendship with Mary and Martha. Meet the women disciples named in the gospels: Mary Magdalene and the other women who accompanied Jesus on mission, who ministered with him in Galilee, and who followed him to Jerusalem where they witnessed his death and burial. These women were the first to discover the empty tomb and to see the risen Christ. In the Pauline communities, women held leadership positions in ministry. Examine some strongly egalitarian texts in Paul''s letters, such as Galatians 3:28: ''No more Jew or Greek, slave or free, male and female.'' Other texts, such as ''Women keep silent in church'' (1 Cor 14:34-36), seem contrary to what Paul says elsewhere. Sr. Reid will help you try to sort out some of the complexity in Paul''s thinking on women. Finally, you will focus not on a text that has female characters, but on a text that often is misconstrued to reinforce the suffering and subordination of women. Jesus'' saying in Mark 8:34, ''Whoever wants to be my disciple must take up their cross and come follow me,'' is often interpreted by women to mean that they should bear every kind of suffering, even that which comes from abuse or injustice, as their way of carrying the cross with Jesus. Explore the saying in its gospel context along with another image from the Gospel of John, which could be more freeing. This course is part of the Learn25 collection and includes a free PDF study guide.

If you could ask God a question, what would you ask Him? Most people would ask,
    “WHY?” “Why am I here?”
“Why are all these painful things happening to me and to
    the people I love?”
Sometimes life is so difficult that it makes us wonder: does God love us? Is He really in control of things?
Something inside you is telling you that there ought to be real meaning in life. Where can you find it?
This book will help you find real answers to these important questions and many more.
As you will hear in the sample audio, most people have one of three responses to truth: they either, twist, try or trust. This book will guide you to the third choice: trust what God has done for you.
Most world religions are about things that people try to do to get close to God. But that is not what the Bible is about. It's about trusting the things that God has done to get close to you. What has God done to get close to you? That is what this book carefully explains and applies.

Paul was suffering for the sake of the Gospel, bound by chains and sitting in a Roman jail cell, but he wrote to Timothy, “…the Word of God is not chained.” In the natural, Paul was being restrained. He was confined, but in the midst of Paul being on lockdown, he said, “Don’t let these chains fool you. Don’t let the enemy make you think God is not moving! The Gospel is not chained!”
In this message, Evangelist Nathan teaches that there is no devil in hell that can put the Word of God on lockdown. This Gospel shall be preached!

Life as a Christian is not easy. Pressures mount, suffering persists, and the temptation to give up feels stronger than ever. The early Christians in the Roman Empire knew this all too well. Their struggles mirror our own, and the message given to them in Revelation is just as powerful today: stay faithful, and you will be victorious forever.

Matt Proctor, a seasoned preacher of the Bible and well-respected college president, unpacks the profound truths of Revelation in Victorious Forever, the second book of the Everyday Exposition series from OCC Press. Drawing from years of teaching and pastoral experience, Proctor illuminates the practical and spiritual lessons found in John's challenging vision, offering insights that encourage steadfastness in faith.

Each of the twelve chapters includes discussion questions designed to deepen your understanding. When life feels overwhelming, the truths of Revelation provide strength, hope, and a reminder: the victory is already won.
