“Suneel Gupta shares how to chisel away the everyday layers that prevent us from clarity and joy. Written with compassion and wit, you will find yourself within its pages, and by the book’s end, it’s very possible that you will have uncovered just what most lights the fire within you.” —Sharon Salzberg, New York Times bestselling author of Lovingkindness and Real Life
Find your Dharma—your inner calling—and learn to integrate ambition, work, and wellbeing to create a balanced, joyous life with this practical, life-changing guide from the beloved speaker, bestselling author, and visiting scholar at Harvard Medical School.
We’ve been conditioned, from an early age, to believe that one day we’ll reach a moment of “arrival.” But no matter how much we achieve or acquire we still don’t feel as satisfied or as fulfilled as we thought we would be. Exhausted, we become burned out and cynical, questioning the purpose of it all.
An expert on happiness and work, Suneel Gupta argues that for too long society has been fixated on the Future of Work and ignored the Future of Worth. We’ve compartmentalized work and well-being and ignored the fact that both are essential for sustained success. We’ve assumed that outer success leads to inner well-being–despite history showing us that this has never been the case.
In Everyday Dharma, Suneel helps us break this negative cycle. A captivating storyteller, he weaves personal stories, history, science, Eastern philosophy, and Western modalities in this engaging, enlightening, and prescriptive book. He begins by helping us identify our dharma, the essence of who we are. When you’re in your Dharma, you feel confident, creative, and caring, with a sense of purpose, and that shines through your life and work.
Everyday Dharma provides an accessible three-step approach to discovering, understanding, and living your “sacred calling.” At its center are self-assessments to help you identify your passions and powerful rituals for building new habits—ancient practices supported by science and found in diverse cultural sources, including Toni Morrison’s novels, Jimi Hendrix’s lyrics, and Frida Kahlo’s paintings, and used by the likes of Nelson Mandela, Dr. Martin Luther King, and Mahatma Gandhi.
Finding your dharma empowers you to let go of anxiety, follow your wildest ambitions, produce your life’s work, and experience true joy.

Self-as-context is one of the most important of the six core processes of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), yet it is also one of the least understood. Many therapists struggle to fully implement it in their practice—perhaps due to a lack of concrete techniques for real world application—or they may become stuck when facing roadblocks in-session. So how can you gain a deeper understanding of self-as-context as a behavior and learn practical interventions for empowering clients with this essential capacity?
Self-as-Context in Therapy takes a challenging concept and translates it into an accessible, actionable process for helping clients cultivate a more flexible self and take valued action. You will start with an exploration of how the self develops, and the clinical implications of inhibiting factors in this process.
Finally, the book offers simple strategies to train clients in self-as-context, so they can integrate key lessons and techniques into their daily lives.
If you're looking for resources to help your clients embrace new possibilities and move toward a life more deeply aligned with their values, this comprehensive guide can help you get started.

Jnana Yoga - The Path of Knowledge

Jnana Yoga, often referred to as the "Path of Knowledge," is one of the four primary paths of yoga in the ancient tradition of Vedanta. The word “Jnana” comes from the Sanskrit root “jñā,” meaning knowledge, and Jnana Yoga is specifically concerned with the cultivation of wisdom and the realization of the ultimate truth of existence. Unlike the more physical paths like Hatha Yoga, Jnana Yoga focuses on intellectual discernment and meditation as tools to break through the illusion of the material world and achieve spiritual enlightenment.
At the heart of Jnana Yoga lies the pursuit of self-inquiry and the question, "Who am I?" This path asserts that ultimate knowledge, or liberation (moksha), can only be attained by understanding the true nature of oneself, and by discerning the difference between the transient, material world (Maya) and the eternal reality (Brahman). Jnana Yoga emphasizes the principle of non-duality, or Advaita, which teaches that the individual self (Atman) is ultimately one with the divine (Brahman). This realization dispels the illusion of separation between the self and the universe.
The path of Jnana Yoga is often described as a mental discipline that requires intense study, reflection, and meditation. It is traditionally taught by a guru, or spiritual teacher, who guides the seeker in their quest for self-knowledge. The guru's role is to help the student distinguish between the real and the unreal, encouraging them to look beyond their attachments, desires, and egos. Scriptures like the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, and other Vedantic texts are central to Jnana Yoga, providing the philosophical foundation for its practices.

Strengthen Your Relationships with the Enneagram's Wisdom
Most of us have no idea how others see or process their experiences. And that can make relationships hard, whether with intimate partners, with friends, or in the workplace. Understanding the motivations and dynamics of these different personality types can be the key that unlocks sometimes mystifying behavior in others—and in ourselves.
In The Path Between Us, Suzanne Stabile, coauthor, with Ian Morgan Cron, of The Road Back to You

    - explains the nine Enneagram types and how they behave and experience relationships
    - guides you into deeper insights about yourself, your type, and others' personalities, and
    - invites you to have healthier, more life-giving relationships through the wisdom of the Enneagram.
The Path Between Us explores questions like:

    - Why do Sixes seem so intimidated and put off by Eights, who only wish the Sixes would stop mulling things over and take action?
    - Why do Fives seem so unavailable, even to their closest family and friends, while Twos seem to feel everybody else's feelings but their own and end up irritating people who don't want their help?
    - How in the world can Fours be so open and loving to you one day and restrained and distant other times?
The Enneagram not only answers these questions but gives a way out of the usual finger pointing and judging of other people—and finding them wanting, perplexing, or impossible. Suzanne's generous, sometimes humorous, and always insightful approach reveals why all the types behave as they do. This book will help you foster more loving, mature, and compassionate relationships with everyone in your life.
