Sinossi

‘What Anna Did Next’ is a laugh-out-loud, life-loving, warm-hearted funny tale of one girl’s quest to find her true self. What will come first for Anna Moran: the perfect job or the perfect orgasm? Anna’s relationship status is permanently set to ‘open to anything’. After a decade of debauchery, meaningless sex and enduring the constant hum of local whispers, Anna leaves her hometown of Dingle, in West Kerry, in search of love and much more. But how do you shake off a small town that never lets you forget? How do you change when temptation is always there? How do you become someone else when you are so relentlessly you? Anna is faced with some difficult decisions when tragedy strikes. Everything hinges on what Anna does next.

Themes of love between people of the same gender are found in a variety of texts throughout the world. The Greeks explored the theme on different levels in works such as Plato's. Religious narratives include stories of sexuality between men or feature divine actions that result in changes in gender. These myths too are forms of LGBTQ expression and modern conceptions of sexuality and gender. Myths to have been used by to explain the "cause" of transgender identity or homosexuality.

Many early Gothic fiction authors, were homosexual and would sublimate these themes using transgressive genres like Gothic and horror fiction. Sheridan Le Fanu's novella Carmilla was the first lesbian vampire story and influenced Bram Stoker's Dracula. Stoker's novel has its own homoerotic aspects, as when Count Dracula warns off the female vampires and claims Jonathan Harker, saying "This man belongs to me!"

In the 21st century, much LGBTQ literature achieved a high level of sophistication and many works have earned mainstream acclaim. Notable authors include Sean Greer. Greer, an openly gay man, won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for Less. Becky Albertalli's teen novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda was adapted into the feature film Love, Simon by 20th Century Fox, the first film by a major studio focused on a gay teenage romance. Here is the ultimate collection of LGTBQ fiction from some of our most heralded writers. A celebration of love, light, and freedom.

The night of my life with my father’s best friend…may cost us both everything.
After my mother ran off with one of my father's friends, she nearly ruined him.
I made a vow to myself: I would never cause him pain like that.
But here I go falling for his best friend.
A man who should be totally off limits and utterly untouchable is the only thing I can think about.
I might as well be a hormone ravaged teenager instead of the grown boss girl I am, the way my body craves his.
I didn’t mean for things to turn out this way.
It was only supposed to be one drunken night.
But one touch from him is all it took for my heart to never want to let him go.
As much as I fight it, I can’t get him off my mind.
Just as I’m gathering courage to tell my dad suddenly my mom returns throwing everyone’s lives into chaos.
I guess ruining our lives once wasn’t enough she had to come back for more.
Now with love, family, and businesses on the line the path forward doesn’t seem to clear.
And just as I thought things couldn’t get any worse… those two little lines turned blue.

It was a risk, and his family might not approve, but he did it anyway. But would a bride take to his family? It was large, unconventional, and, well, a tad eccentric. But once she arrived, that was no longer his worry. Instead, he worried if he was enough. His bride was broken, and he wasn't sure if he could fix her. Add a passel of strangers in town and visiting royalty, and Weston had more than enough to think about. Could he help his bride overcome her fears while danger might be lurking nearby? Find out in this sweet historical western filled with pure fun and romance!
