Sinossi

Historical Family Saga set in Hull, Yorkshire, UK.

What happens to a young couple when the first flush of love fades?

Alice and Amos Bell marry in 1925, when flappers and jazz prosper. But their struggle increases with the Depression years, followed by World War II. Amos Bell does not deal with the stormy relationships with his children or his wife.

Alice and her sister are ardent suffragists who live by their own rules, while their world overflows with parties, music, and dancing.

As Alice’s health declines, Amos’ infidelity dramas explode, with the German bombs dropping on Yorkshire being the least of their troubles.

What would the world look like if we did everything right for the next 50 years?
“A compelling series of speculations about what the next century will be like…Not only readable, but deeply thought-provoking.”
    Kirkus Reviews
It’s 2084, and Aldus, an elderly robot repairman, is writing the history of the 21st century for his grandson, Luca. Born in 2010, Aldus lived through it all—the War on the Warming, the repair of the planet, the rise of true artificial intelligence, automation everywhere and much more. “I was but a foot soldier,” Aldus tells his grandson, “but there is value in that perspective.”
Aldus also fears his time is short. Unlucky members of his generation sometimes experience long-delayed side effects from childhood infection with COVID. Aldus could be among them, and so his writing may have a literal deadline.
Heartfelt, hopeful, and often humorous—a utopian novel in the truest sense—Email From the Future blends fact and fiction to spin a detailed picture of the future. From climate change, education, space travel, and religion to sex, food, crime, politics and even gaming, acclaimed futurist Michael Rogers describes the world of 2084. And more importantly, how we can survive long enough to actually get there.

"The Adventure of the Creeping Man" (1923) is one of 12 Sherlock Holmes short stories (56 total) by Arthur Conan Doyle in The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes first published in Strand Magazine October 1921 - April 1927.
A man named Trevor Bennett comes to Holmes with a most unusual problem. He is Professor Presbury's personal secretary, and Mr. Bennett is also engaged to the professor's only daughter, Edith. Professor Presbury is himself engaged to a young lady, Alice Morphy, a colleague's daughter, although he himself is already 61 years of age. Their impending marriage does not seem to have caused a great scandal, so that is not Mr Bennett's problem. Nonetheless, the trouble seems to have begun at about the time of Professor Presbury's and Alice's engagement. First, the professor suddenly left home for a fortnight without telling anyone where he was going. He returned looking rather travel-worn, and it was only through a letter from a friend sent to Mr Bennett that the family learnt that Professor Presbury had been to Prague.

"Unlikely allies uniting across the world. Blood feuds that span centuries. A single chance at life.

The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn’t going to be easy to survive.

The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but The Master asks for trust.

Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction. One needs to bring the races of the world together while the other simply needs to survive. Surrounded by supposed allies, the duo will do all that they can to succeed—but with every new arrival comes rising tensions and faltering trust.

The apocalypse is coming. Will honor or greed stand the test of time?

Performed by Patrick Boylan, Michael John Casey, Ryan Haugen, Amanda Forstrom, Robb Moreira, Tia Shearer, Danny Gavigan, Kay Eluvian, Lydia Kraniotis, Joel David Santner, Rayner Gabriel, Troy Allan, Dan Delgado, Katie Boothe, Chris Stinson, Christopher Davenport, Anthony Palmini, Jon Vertullo, Christopher Walker, Jonathon Church, Matthew Bassett, Bradley Smith, Eric Messner, Marni Penning, Colleen Delany, Michael Glenn, Nora Achrati, and Elizabeth Jernigan."

An English royal melts the heart of a lonesome ranch girl in this Americana romance set in the Roughrider State from the New York Times bestselling author.

At twenty-one, Katherine "Kit" Bonner is the de facto manager of the Flying Eagle Ranch in the badlands of North Dakota. For three generations, the Bonners have tended the land and its cattle on behalf of its absentee owners—a family of English barons who seem to be more of a myth than anything else. So Kit is taken by surprise when the current baron, Reese Talbot, shows up announced. Deceived by his American accent, Kit mistakes Reese for a salesman and tries to send him packing. He, in turn, can't quite tell if the grimy, shapeless figure on horseback is a man or a woman.

But Kit is in for an even bigger surprise when she realizes that her madding, yet undeniably gorgeous, new boss is planning to stay at the ranch long-term. As Reese attempts to pierce Kit's tough exterior, he begins to win her grudging respect—and to thaw the ice surrounding her high lonesome heart.
