Sinossi

Freya's always been sensitive. Difficult, some say. Funny how those words have started to mean the same thing.
It's September 2018, and everyone's living in a new, more inclusive Ireland after two referendums and one hot summer. We're all redefining ourselves. And so is Freya. She got dumped. But when her ex shows up at her parents' door along with unexpected news, it feels like anything is possible again. Can sensitive, difficult Freya learn to see herself anew?
The personal becomes political in David Horan's funny and fascinating play exploring identity and family. Sandpaper on Sunburn was first performed at Smock Alley Theatre in 2024 as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival.
Disponibile da: 03/10/2024.

Friday night lights hide more than they reveal…
When retired NFL superstar Keller Williams returns to his small town to coach his old high school football team, he’s surprised how much he enjoys being out of the limelight and on the field with the kids. Even more surprising is his immediate attraction to the father of one of his players—single dad Niall Harper.
Problem number one: Niall Harper isn’t gay.
Problem number two: Keller isn’t out to the world.
Problem number three: Niall hates his guts. And Keller has no idea why.
High school librarian Niall Harper has always done the right thing. Except be true to himself. Divorced and raising his teenaged son, Niall is dismayed to discover the new football coach is none other than his long-ago Friday night fantasy and nemesis. Not that it matters—Keller doesn’t remember him. It’s nothing new; Niall has always been easy to forget. Now Keller wants to be friends. And more. Niall can’t deny the annoying man makes him laugh and feel things he’d only dreamed possible. But would a player like Keller be satisfied with a regular guy like him?
Being together is more than complicated, but they are willing to take the risk. Niall reveals he’s dating his son’s coach, and Keller comes out to the team, his fans, the press, and small-town gossips. Neither is prepared for the fallout, but that doesn’t stop them. It’s time to throw the Hail Mary pass of a lifetime and win the game of forever. And they’re ready.

Playing with fire never felt so awkward . . . or so good.

One minute I was covering a routine car accident for the paper. The next, I was staring up—way up—at the broadest shoulders I'd ever seen. Dane looked like he'd been carved out of granite . . . if granite could smirk and smell faintly of smoke and danger.

When my editor decided I should shadow him for a "day in the life" article, I figured it would be easy. Take notes. Snap a few photos. Try not to drool. Instead, I found myself dangling from ladders, dodging flames, and blurting out comments that sounded suspiciously like flirting.

He's stoic. I'm sarcastic. Apparently that combination is combustible—just not in the way OSHA recommends.

What starts as a professional ride-along quickly turns into lingering looks, undeniable chemistry, and feelings neither of us expected.

From bowling dates to steamy kitchen encounters, Dane proves there's more than one way to turn up the heat. The more time we spend together, the harder it is to tell if I'm writing a story about him . . . or about us.

Law student Cedric Jones suffers a horrendous car accident which robbed him of his recent memories, including the fact he has a lover. When Ced opens a bottle of aftershave, it triggers memories of Tim, but it's too late as Tim has already moved on.
Still haunted by his broken relationship, the newly qualified lawyer attempts to start fresh with a new job in a new town. He winds up working in a small law office in Colby, Ohio. The new job and town also leads to Ced finding new friends. One such friend hopes to make a deeper connection with Cedric, but given past events, Cedric is unwilling to commit.
On a trip to the Toledo Museum of Art, Ced encounters a very tall man, and senses an immediate connection to him. However, Ced doesn't get the man's name and, after exchanging a few pleasantries, they walk off in different directions.
Despite having a safe desk job in a quiet backwater, Cedric finds himself kidnapped at gunpoint and driven to a remote location. Thanks to his indomitable paralegal who raises the alarm, the cops are called and Ced is rescued by the local cops and the FBI. The latter is in the form of SAC Bart McName, the mysterious man from the museum.
Can Cedric move on with Bart, or will he be forever haunted by his past?

A war of the roses ignites between feuding small-town neighbors in this fun, slow-burn lesbian romance.
Retired master florist Kate Willow moved to remote Serenity Springs for one thing: peace. All she wants is a glass of wine, her creaky rocking chair, and the company of her horse, Moose.
Her effervescent neighbor Margot Reed is sunshine and glitter-soaked chaos who just won't leave her alone. Worse, Margot's wild, messy garden ruins Kate's tranquil view and chafes her fraying nerves.
Their simmering rivalry ignites every year at the Rose Festival. Margot has won for five years straight—a crown Kate is determined to reclaim.
But when a crisis forces them to work together, they discover beneath the passive-aggressive barbs an unlikely attraction is starting to bloom.

In 1605, King James I sat on the thrones of England and Scotland. A group of men, led by Robert Catesby, planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London to kill King James, Queen Anne, their children, and all the lords of England. The plotters were Catholics in a time when, at best, Catholics were fined into poverty, and at worst, they were burned at the stake.

William Cranmore is one of those men. Lark Alleyne, who started his working life at court, has been recruited as a spy and is put under the direction of Cranmore, who is to teach him the sword as well as the craft of spying. During the course of their work, Cranmore, a man who has never loved anyone, falls deeply in love with the sweet natured, overtly loving younger man.

Can William and Lark foil the Gunpowder Plot before the king and his family are murdered?
