Butcher Shop Siren

"I had quite an enjoyable experience myself," he hummed. "I was really starting to worry at the end there," he grinned.

"Worry about what?" she asked.

"I thought you wouldn't touch the drink," he said, gesturing to the wine.

Her blood ran cold. Of course, the one date she had been on where the guy wasn't a complete and utter douchebag, he would turn out to be even worse.

"I'm tired of being the youngest and being told that it's natural I won't inherit shit," he said with a truly ugly expression on his face. "I can't stand it. I want a place of my own."

She swore and tried to send a text to Braxton, but whatever medication she was given, it interfered with her motor function. The fire inside of her burned hot and she felt the phone sizzle and short circuit, zapping her lightly before it stopped working entirely. It fell to the ground with a clatter.

She gritted her teeth and glared at the unassuming looking young man seated opposite her.

"So your plan is to drug me?" she asked, stalling for time. She had been texting Braxton consistently since the beginning of dinner and the sudden lack of messages was sure to catch his attention. She knew she could count on him, but she didn't want to play the role of damsel in distress. She was stronger than that.

Still, she found it suddenly difficult to move, like someone had poured molten lead over her bones and allowed it to solidify. Her limbs were not her own, her body out of her control. It was an uncomfortable feeling. She tried to move her fingers and found that no matter how hard she tried and how much she glared her fingers wouldn't move at all.

"Dragons are capable of getting pregnant regardless of what cycle of menstrual cycle you're in. I've just got to make sure to get you pregnant and then you'll have to marry me," he grinned like the maniac that he was, like this was a plan that would work out at all.

On the surface, Elara Vance has the perfect life. A successful architect, a devoted husband, and a stunning glass-walled home overlooking the serene waters of Lake Serenity. But perfection is a fragile facade, and Elara feels it cracking. Her husband, Leo, has become distant, his late nights at the office filled with whispered phone calls and a coldness that chills her more than the lake’s deepest waters.

Then comes the annual summer solstice party, a glittering spectacle for their elite community. Amidst the champagne and laughter, Elara sees a look pass between Leo and her best friend, Margot. A look that speaks of secrets shared in the dark. Hours later, as a storm lashes the lake, Margot vanishes without a trace, leaving behind only a single high-heeled shoe on the rain-slicked dock.

As the police investigation focuses on a tragic accident, Elara begins her own quiet search. She discovers a second phone hidden in Leo’s study, filled with cryptic messages. She finds a locket she gave Margot years ago, tucked beneath the floorboards of their boathouse. Each clue pulls her deeper into a web of lies, suggesting Margot’s disappearance was not an accident, but a carefully planned silence.

Now, Elara must question everything she thought she knew about her marriage, her friendship, and the peaceful town she calls home. Someone is watching her every move, someone who will do anything to keep the truth buried beneath the lake’s placid surface. To find her friend, Elara must unravel the perfect life she built, before she becomes the next secret the lake swallows whole.

I fell in love with a woman on her honeymoon.

Sounds all sorts of wrong, right? I swear it's not what you think though. I didn't break up a marriage. It was over before it even started.

She was all dressed up with nowhere to go when her fiancé ghosted her on her wedding day. I would have thought an experience like that would leave a woman heartbroken and sobbing into a tub of ice cream for days on end, but not Scarlett Dayne. After attending her reception and partying into the night on her fiancé's dime, she posted to social media in search of a travel companion for her upcoming honeymoon.

I don't know why I let my teammate talk me into it.

As if being set up on a blind date isn't bad enough, a blind date with a jilted bride on her honeymoon seems all sorts of crazy. But from the moment I met Scarlett at the airport I knew she was someone special. She's adventurously fun with a great sense of humor and I'm enjoying every moment with her.

It's way too soon to make a move, I know, but what if after one remarkably memorable day, my mind is made up? What if she's it for me? Can two people fall in love in just one day?

Is it wrong to fall in love with a bride on her honeymoon?

    There's trouble in paradise.
All we had to do was make it through the weekend. It should've been a breeze. A tattoo convention in Cancún with Toni Valentine, the toughest and sexiest tattoo artist in the world? It was a dream come true.
It was my chance to show her how I'd grown. I came to work for her when I was just some kid from LA and she already had a spread in Maxim and a successful video stream, but over the past three years, we've gotten close. And I had plans for us to get even closer.
But now my plans have changed. Now I've got to prove myself in a different way—by saving her from one of Mexico's most brutal cartels. I'd do anything for Toni, and that includes walking right into the belly of the beast. And I'm not coming back without her.
Valentine's Day is the third book in "Fall of the Amador Cartel" romance series. It features an older woman/younger man, fake boyfriend romance. Although all books in this world can be read as standalones, you won’t want to miss the rest. A steamy romance with explicit love scenes and strong language, a happily ever after is always guaranteed. Enjoy!

Naomi is a thin, fashion-loving Torontonian living in a world that likes it large. Being small is her life, and she gets by day-to-day ignoring the micro grievances that surround her until they become unavoidable obstacles in her dating, family, friend, and work life.
To add to it, the new girl at work is tormenting her, and she doesn't know who to turn to. Who is this Ami chick, and why has she taken such an intense interest in her? This isn't what she asked for. All she wants is acceptance, respect, and a warm body to spoon on cold nights, and it's going to take more than dressing pretty to accomplish it.
This speculative romance takes place in a world similar to our own, but with a tiny twist. Naomi will have to think large and take charge to get what she wants in life, and a pretty girl or a handsome guy on her arm would be an added bonus.
