Waves of Tranquility by Ocean Soul is a soul-soothing immersion into the heart of stillness — a guided meditation where your breath becomes the tide, and peace flows through you like water over soft, sunlit sand. Each line carries the hush of the ocean, melting tension and quieting the mind into pure calm. Through gentle imagery and flowing rhythm, you’re guided beyond effort, beyond thought — into surrender, where every wave forgives, every breath renews, and every heartbeat drifts in harmony with the sea.
Let the ocean cradle your spirit. Let stillness rise within you. Drift into infinite peace — and become one with the Waves of Tranquility.

Excerpt:If we use the Buddha’s teachings as a lens to examine the corporate economic system and its offshoot, the consumerist culture, we will see that it is ultimately detrimental to the well-being of both its masters and servants alike. Drawing upon the tools of Buddhist analysis, let us briefly sketch the inner dynamics of this system. We see in the first instance that such a social order is founded upon ignorance or delusion (avijjā, moha), namely, the supposition that material wealth and consumption are the criteria of the good life. According to the Buddhist texts, when ignorance infiltrates our cognitive systems it issues in a series of “distortions” (vipallāsa) which infect our perception (saññā), thinking (citta), and views (diṭṭhi). The Buddha mentions four such distortions: the notions that the impermanent is permanent, that the painful (or suffering) is pleasant, that the insubstantial is a self, and that the unbeautiful is beautiful. At the most basic level we perceive things by way of these distortions; when these distorted perceptions are taken up for reflection, we start thinking in terms of them; and finally, under the combined influence of distorted perception and thought, we adopt views—that is, beliefs, doctrines, and ideologies—that affirm the mistaken notions of permanence, pleasure, selfhood, and beauty.

Finding love was last on the list of things I needed to do. I had some personal things to work out before I could even think about searching for my soul mate. From where I stood at the moment, that seemed like something that might never happen.
However, I couldn’t help but notice August. We had been friends since we were children. He had a crush on me years ago, but I didn’t feel the same way at the time. He was simply my friend.
He had grown and matured recently, though. I felt something different when I looked at him now. The problem was, he had long since given up on a relationship with me. I could tell he had closed that door years ago, and that was precisely why I found myself wishing I could open it again.

Begun five years after he entered the Abbey of Our Lady of Gethsemani, The Sign of Jonas is an extraordinary view of Merton's life in a Trappist monastery, and it serves also as a spiritual log recording the deep meaning and increasing sureness he felt in his vocation: the growth of a mind that finds in its contracted physical world new intellectual and spiritual dimensions.
