These conditions stem from the inability to manage those emotions, and in the end, they overwhelm you and end up controlling you instead. They make everything seem impossible – which is why you find yourself feeling stuck, miserable, and often like your situation is hopeless.  
  Being aware of your emotions, and more importantly, what those emotions mean to you, is what emotional intelligence essentially encompasses. This book will explore what it means to possess this kind of intelligence and why it matters more than IQ does in the general success of life.
