Sinossi

Is Smitty a professional hitman? A spy? A private detective? A protector of the weak and innocent?

No one knows. But whatever Smitty is, know that he is very good at whatever hat decides to wear that day. These twenty-six short stories feature the anti-hero as he seeks out his prey with ruthless determination.

When Smitty finds his target, they should pray that they're not in his gunsights. Because if they are, it’s guaranteed they will not see the next sunrise.

A corpse in the fireplace of an old house. It's been there for thirty years, but who is it?

It's clearly murder, and what connection does the body have to the previous owners of the house?

It was bound to be discovered eventually but was that what the murderer wanted?

The main suspects are all old and dying, or already dead. There's a motive, but what is it?

Isaac Cook and his team have their work cut out trying to put the pieces together. Those who know are not talking out of an old-fashioned belief that a family's dirty laundry is not to be aired in public, and certainly not to a policeman—even if that means the murderer is never brought to justice!

Three workers dead. Three "accidents" that aren't accidents at all. And a forty-year quest for revenge that's only just beginning.

When Emma Hartley's friend Sarah loses her uncle Carlos in a tragic accident at the Willow Creek Historic Shipyard, it seems like terrible misfortune—until Emma discovers that Carlos was the third worker to die at the restoration project in as many weeks.

Each death looked like an accident. Scaffolding collapse. Diving equipment failure. Crane malfunction. But Emma's investigative instincts tell her something darker is happening.

As Emma digs into the shipyard's history, she uncovers buried secrets from the 1980s—toxic waste, environmental crimes, and worker deaths that were never properly investigated. Someone is killing to keep those secrets buried. Someone with intimate knowledge of the site and sophisticated methods for making murder look accidental.

The evidence points to Maggie Sullivan, historical consultant and descendant of the family that once owned the shipyard. She had access, opportunity, and motive to prevent discoveries that would destroy her family's reputation.

But when Maggie flees and contacts Emma claiming she's being framed, Emma must decide: Is Maggie a cunning killer spinning a desperate lie? Or is someone else orchestrating an elaborate revenge plot that's been forty years in the making?

With her fiancé Detective Jake Morrison, Emma races to expose the truth before more workers die—and discovers that the most dangerous investigations are the ones that force buried sins into the light.

Death at the Shipyard is the fifth book in the Moonlight Café Cozy Mystery Series.

Perfect for fans of cozy mysteries with substance, strong character development, and investigations that reveal uncomfortable truths about how the past shapes the present.

YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES & JOHN WATSON
The case of the missing baby.
This completely new story I have written involves the 10 year old boys who will be the great detective Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson, his assistant, when they grow up, this is their formative years where they perfect their skills before adulthood on what my appear to be inconsequential subjects, but the principle remains the same.
This is just one of an extensive series I will be publishing as audio books in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this first one, and its only $1.25 cents, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 minutes sets the scene, so to speak, a violin Holme's musical instrument of choice and is energetic and the closing music ends the tale on a more restrained mode and only about 1 minute.
The story itself runs to about 7 minutes 30 seconds and is of course a short story, it is read in my own voice.
The story involves the the disappearance of a baby, Albert just 2 months old, from his pram that Nanny Beatrice was responsible for. Albert was the son of the British Ambassador, Sir Eustace Carmichael, who lived in a magnificent Townhouse in Westminster. The baby was found hidden in a wardrobe upstairs to try and distract Sir Eustace.
Needless to say Holmes solves the mystery, discovers baby Albert and is praised by Sir Eustace as being incredibly astute for his age.
The stories are designed to be entertaining to children of age around 6 to 10 years old due to the characters involved.
I do hope you and you children, if applicable, enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!
