Lydia Maria Child grew up in the 1800s reading countless books. She defied the idea that girls weren't supposed to fill their minds with ideas and stories. They weren't supposed to write their own books, either, but that is exactly what Lydia Maria did. Although she gained remarkable success as a writer for children and adults, she sacrificed everything when she took up her pen against slavery. Lydia Maria believed that slavery was wrong--and she wasn't afraid to say so. As a result, her courageous words changed her life and helped change the course of American history.

Naturally, their amazing friendship for each other has increased during all this time, but you can't have two winners.

The Jagirdar is a living danger, but Anna's confidence is unshaken. Will Anna be able to succeed in her aim? Or Will she have to commit to the inhumane practices of the tyrannical head?

Never give up is a story about motivation, courage, and determination; it teaches its readers about the importance of not giving up; Anna's story highlights how commitment to a goal and the power to fight against your limitations can help anyone break their mental bounds and shine like the brightest star.

Billionaire Boy, from Children's author David Walliams.
Joe has a lot of reasons to be happy. About a billion of them, in fact. You see, Joe's rich. Really, really rich. Joe's got his own bowling alley, his own cinema, even his own butler who is also an orangutan. He's the wealthiest twelve-year-old in the land.
But Joe isn't happy. Why not? Because he's got a billion pounds… and not a single friend. But then someone comes along, someone who likes Joe for Joe, not for his money. The problem is, Joe's about to learn that when money is involved, nothing is what it seems.
The best things in life are free, they say – and if Joe's not careful, he's going to lose them all…
In this kids adventure, Walliams, the bestselling author, explores the virtues of friendship over wealth. It's a humorous, action-packed story that has made it to the top of the Sunday Times bestseller list.
For fans of Shane Devries (The Creakers), Jeff Kinney (The Deep End), Peter Brown (The Wild Robot), Liz Pichon (Top of the Class), and Larry Hayes (How to be a Kid Boss).
