"We are such stuff as dreams are made on."

Transport yourself to a remote, enchanted island in William Shakespeare's final masterpiece, The Tempest. Prospero, the usurped Duke of Milan, has spent twelve years in exile, mastering the occult arts and commanding the spirits of the isle. When a magical storm brings his treacherous enemies to his shores, Prospero finally has the chance to settle the score.

The play is a breathtaking blend of spectacle and soul-searching. Guided by the ethereal spirit Ariel and hindered by the earthy, resentful Caliban, Prospero orchestrates a series of illusions to confront his brother's betrayal. Yet, amid the schemes of revenge, a tender romance blossoms between his daughter, Miranda, and the shipwrecked Prince Ferdinand.

A profound meditation on the nature of authority, the bond of family, and the power of mercy, The Tempest is often seen as Shakespeare's farewell to the stage. This definitive edition captures the play's unique atmospheric beauty and its timeless message of reconciliation.

Surrender to the magic of the isle. Buy "The Tempest" today and experience the Bard's final, visionary work.

Twin girls. One grows up, has a full life packed with incident, only a few regrets. The other dies twenty minutes after being born.
    Both of them are here.
James Fritz's short play twins was first performed at the Arcola Theatre, London, in November 2015 as part of the Miniaturists' 10th Birthday Bash.
'Completely enthralling… a superb piece of writing that conveys the beauty and cruelty of life in a wonderful and completely non-sentimental way. A fabulous example of a short play at its best' - LondonTheatre1

If you cast a reasonable doubt in someone, are you responsible for their actions? Especially when that doubt was planted in order to manipulate?
This is one of the central questions posed in August Strindberg's "The Father," a three act play about a power struggle between the over-domineering Adolf and his wife Laura as they discuss the future plans for their child. All doubts come to a head, however, when Laura points out that a child's paternity can never be proven, and thus, under common law, strips Adolf of his power over the child. Through deceit, treachery, and manipulation, the plan to get rid of "The Father" is set in motion, and only time will tell if Adolf is a madman filled to the brim with jealous rage or righteous fury.

    (“Love compelled me to write”)
As with most art, the words in this book were inspired by love.
Inspired by women I have loved and one in particular, who I may have loved before.
The woman who inspired many of these words is one of the very few truly spiritual people I’ve ever known. In spite of a life often tormented by cruelty and neglect, she retained a rare spirituality and compassion.
She enriched my life and for that I will never forget her.
These are some of the poems.
Written over the past couple of years (something creative came out of the COVID lockdown). Some describe experiences and feelings directly related to my relationships and circumstances. Some figments of my imagination.
This book is divided into three sections:
    Life, Love, and Loss
You can start reading from the beginning through to the end, or you can pick a section depending on your mood, or dip in and out at random.

Tom Branfoot's This is Not an Epiphany examines inner and outer landscapes that have become inhospitable; where people are 'burnt / by business as usual'. This collection is attentive to shifting landscapes where warehouses spring up on empty land, and the incremental austerities that constitute our living; its lyric absorbs the shocks and crises of survival within them.
