Philip K. Dick was born on December 16, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois. His family moved frequently during his childhood, primarily due to his father's job, but also due to his parents' divorce when he was young, which led him to live with his mother. This nomadic childhood would influence his later writings, which often feature themes of dislocation and uncertainty. Philip attended Berkeley High School in California. He was a voracious reader, particularly of science fiction, which deeply influenced his literary interests. After high school, he briefly attended the University of California, Berkeley, but did not graduate. Instead, he started writing science fiction, selling his first short story, "Roog," in 1952 to The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. This began his prolific career where he would write over 120 short stories and 44 published novels. Dick's early works were primarily published in pulp magazines, but he soon transitioned to novels. His writing was characterized by its exploration of philosophical, theological, and psychological themes, often questioning the nature of reality, identity, and humanity. Notable works from this period include:
The Man in the High Castle (1962) - An alternate history novel where the Axis powers won World War II, which won the Hugo Award.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (1968) - Later adapted into the film "Blade Runner," exploring themes of artificial intelligence and what it means to be human.
Ubik (1969) - A complex narrative dealing with reality, death, and corporate power.
Posthumously, Dick's influence has only grown. His works have been adapted into numerous films, TV shows, and other media, reflecting ongoing interest in his visions of dystopian futures, surveillance, simulated realities, and the essence of human consciousness.
Frank Marcopolos lives in Florida with his dog, Sparky.

She's the most dangerous being alive . . . and the only one I crave.

I feel her across realms. Through the vast emptiness of space, weaving among the stars. She is the Queen of Violets. Powerful, shrewd, defiant. Utterly exquisite. Feared among her own and pursued by all. She is the Dragon Queen.

I was an ordinary MI5 agent before being thrust into the world of Dragons Kings, Fae, Reapers, and magic. But it was a world I soon discovered I was bound to by blood from my Druid ancestors.

The instant we met, I was hers. Forever. I would have ripped the moon from the sky for her. I would have razed worlds. Then she deceived me.

Yet, I can't stop thinking about her. Craving her. She's in my very psyche, like a fever that burns through my veins like dragon fire. Scorching and eternal.

When I sense a malicious danger closing in around her, I defy every rule to get to her. My love. My queen.

    Contains mature themes.

When her delivery boy is the next victim, Reese sets aside her pies, determined to get to the bottom of the mystery. But her prince is just as determined to keep her out of harm's way, keeping her in the dark and even pushing her out of his own investigation.
Then the disappearances accelerate, hitting closer to home and leaving her with little choice but to get involved.

The Doctor awakens to discover a universe which is at once all too familiar, and yet completely unlike that which he was expecting. Join him as he argues with himself, his companions, and anyone else near enough to be drawn in - all the while attempting to save a shattered and disintegrating universe. If this seems to be parodying something familiar, which has itself recently fallen apart and lost its shine, it probably is. First published through YouTube beginning in 2019, then published in book form through Amazon as The Doctor Reads The Doctor By The Doctor – Seasoned 12. Then in second edition in 2020 as The Doctor - Seasoned Twelve. Now, finally, available in audio book form.
