Sinossi

A collection of six short mystery and crime stories by the author of The Leavenworth Case.Known as “the mother of the detective novel,” Anna Katharine Green invented many of the genre’s most enduring characteristics. In this collection she masterfully combines an American sensibility with well-crafted, legally accurate plotlines. Set in Baltimore just before the Civil War, “The Bronze Hand” tells the story of a man who answers a beautiful woman’s cry of distress, only to find himself caught in a web of intrigue, conspiracy, and danger. In “The Gray Madam,” a husband and wife wonder if they’ve seen the ghost of a mysterious woman in their home. And in the titular story, a woman seeks the help of a detective after she receives one letter from her husband and another delivering the news of his death.

When the lifeless body of crime journalist Tom Pinder is fished out of the river near Jack's barge, it seems that the hardened old drinker may just have had one too many...and accidentally slipped to a watery death. But Pinder's young colleague doesn't buy that explanation, and asks Jack and Sarah to investigate. As they dig deep into the stories that Pinder was working on, Jack and Sarah soon discover that he had made some very dangerous enemies prepared to stop at nothing to keep a dangerous truth buried.

Set in the sleepy English village of Cherringham, the detective series brings together an unlikely sleuthing duo: English web designer Sarah and American ex-cop Jack. Thrilling and deadly - but with a spot of tea - it's like Rosamunde Pilcher meets Inspector Barnaby. Each of the self-contained episodes is a quick read for the morning commute, while waiting for the doctor, or when curling up with a hot cuppa.

Co-authors Neil Richards (based in the UK) and Matthew Costello (based in the US), have been writing together since the mid-90s, creating innovative content and working on major projects for the BBC, Disney Channel, Sony, ABC, Eidos, and Nintendo to name but a few. Their transatlantic collaboration has underpinned scores of TV drama scripts, computer games, radio shows, and the best-selling mystery series Cherringham. Their latest series project is called Mydworth Mysteries.

The narrator of the audiobook, Neil Dudgeon, has been in many British television programmes including the roles of 'DCI John Barnaby' in 'Midsomer Murders' and 'Jim Riley' in 'The Life of Riley'. He is also known for his film roles in 'The Nativity', 'Sorted' and 'Son of Rambow'. In 2012 Dudgeon starred as 'Norman Birkett' on BBC Radio 4's Afternoon Play series written by Caroline and David Stafford.

It’s October in Cider Cove, and Mayor Woods has decided to change the name of our cozy little town to SpiderCove for the entire month. But when a body turns up at the zombie walk, things take a turn for the deadly. Add in an ex-boyfriend of mine who is making Jasper insane with jealousy, along with an eerie cult obsessed with werewolves, and you have a hairy, scary month of terror ahead. Halloween is upon us, and I don’t know if Cider Cove will ever be the same again.
Bizzy Baker runs the Country Cottage Inn, has the ability to pry into the darkest recesses of both the human and animal mind, and has just stumbled upon a body. With the help of her kitten, Fish, a mutt named Sherlock Bones and an ornery yet dangerously good looking homicide detective, Bizzy is determined to find the killer.
The Country Cottage Inn is known for its hospitality. Leaving can be murder.
A laugh out loud cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore and her partner in cozy crime, USA TODAY Bestseller Bellamy Bloom.
