Twelve-year-old Gina vows never to dance again after her mother’s death. Living in Leningrad with her uncle, she faces stage fright, upheaval in Russia, and the question: will she dance again?

In Paris, Gina reunites with Tina to create their own ballets amid terrorist attacks. While longing for acceptance at ballet school, she discovers friendship, courage, and the beauty of art.
