Sinossi

In "Proverb Stories," Louisa May Alcott weaves a collection of enchanting tales that illuminate moral lessons through engaging narratives. Aligning with her signature literary style, which merges didacticism with emotional depth, these stories draw upon folk wisdom to explore themes of virtue, resilience, and societal values. Alcott's deft characterizations and vivid imagery create a rich tapestry that resonates with readers of all ages, reflecting the evolving social norms of her time while remaining timeless in their applicability to contemporary life. The prolific Louisa May Alcott, best known for her beloved novel "Little Women," was not only an author but also a keen observer of societal dynamics. Born in 1832, she was shaped by the perspectives of her transcendentalist family and the struggles of her era, including the abolitionist and women'Äôs suffrage movements. This background infused her writing with a commitment to moral education and social justice, making her the ideal voice for transmuting proverbs into relatable stories that echo life's complexities and triumphs. "Proverb Stories" is a perfect pick for readers seeking both entertainment and enlightenment. With its rich moral fabric and Alcott'Äôs familiar warmth, this collection serves as a delightful reminder of the timeless wisdom inherent in everyday life, proving that stories can indeed inspire personal growth and ethical reflection.

Buckle Up for a Deliriously Uncanny Literary Ride
Have you ever wondered about the deep-sea depths of unorthodox, unclassifiable stories that most ghostwriters take to their graves unseen? The kind of tales that straddle realities and make you second-guess the line between fact and fabulist fiction?
If so, "Mnemonic Phantasms" is the deliciously twisted tell-all you've been waiting for. In this daring anthology, an anonymous ghostwriter exposes some of the most bizarre, mind-bending client requests they've encountered over decades of sculpting prose in the shadows.
From crafting alien abduction memoirs and decoding subterranean civilisation epics to channelling celebrity afterlife autobiographies and exorcising cult leader manifestos - no paranormal subject, interdimensional whisper, or eccentric megalomania is off limits.
With dizzying narrative dexterity and a masterful command of speculative psychosphere violation, "Ava Silica" (a soigné nom de plume) brings readers along for a wild ride. It's a no-holds-barred immersion into the most uncharted, unchartable territories where few ghostwriters dare to tread.
Part memoir, part uncategorisable omnibus, this one-of-a-kind volume boldly unveils every ghostwriter's darkest secret—that the most unbelievable assignments are also often the most demanding. Thanks to Silica's decision to shatter the civility cloaks of confidentiality, you, the reader, get to experience the delicious, disturbing psilocybin trip of sheer WTF?! First-hand.

Alfred McLelland Burrage was born in Hillingdon, Middlesex on 1st July, 1889. His father and uncle were both writers, primarily of boy’s fiction, and by age 16 AM Burrage had joined them. The young man had ambitions to write for the adult market too. The money was better and so was his writing.
From 1890 to 1914, prior to the mainstream appeal of cinema and radio the printed word, mainly in magazines, was the foremost mass entertainment. AM Burrage quickly became a master of the market publishing his stories regularly across a number of publications.
By the start of the Great War Burrage was well established but in 1916 he was conscripted to fight on the Western Front. He continued to write during these years documenting his experiences in the classic book War is War by Ex-Private X.
For the remainder of his life Burrage was rarely printed in book form but continued to write and be published on a prodigious scale in magazines and newspapers. In this volume we concentrate on his supernatural stories which are, by common consent, some of the best ever written. Succinct yet full of character each reveals a twist and a flavour that is unsettling…..sometimes menacing….always disturbing.
