Sinossi

The novel “Indigenes of Elusive World” narrates the life of Junior, a young boy who experienced the loss of his father at an early age when he had little understanding of death. In accordance with local customs, the family adhered to traditions before laying the deceased to rest. Junior then relocated to Aba with his generous aunt, who provided him with care and support. However, the joyous atmosphere was short-lived due to the tense environment prevailing during that period, leading to widespread rumours of kidnappings and killings.

In response to the kidnapping of the aunt’s only daughter, Angel, Junior and his aunt decided to return to the village. This decision marked a turning point, as they found themselves compelled to unravel the mystery surrounding the kidnappers: their identities, operating location, sponsors, and the reasons behind their elusiveness. The quest for answers raised the question of who truly constituted the indigenes of this elusive world.

Exploring the Life-Changing Impact of Heavenly Mindedness
Though they're destined for eternal glory, many Christians languish in earthly mindedness. Having never set their sights on things above, they lack hope in adversity and vibrancy in their faith. Where can believers find joy and inspiration for everyday life? It's in the already-and-not-yet reality of heaven.
Following the unexpected loss of his firstborn child, pastor Cameron Cole's daily focus shifted drastically heavenward. He discovered that an intentional eternal mindset can bring meaning and joy to every Christian's life. In this heartfelt, theologically rich book, Cole draws from his personal story of grief, the apostle Paul's letters, and the examples of believers throughout history to demonstrate how heavenly mindedness fosters contentment, hope in suffering, motivation for missions and evangelism, commitment to morality and ethics, and no fear in death.

    - Informative and Captivating: Cole combines personal stories with a biblical theology of Paul's letters about heaven
    - Offers Hope and Joy: A great resource for those who are grieving or need spiritual encouragement
    - Practical: Features a personal note at the end of each chapter that explains how to apply an eternal mindset

Christians are under increasing pressure to be silent. We're led to believe that, at best, our beliefs are outdated, and at worst they are dangerous. Silenced by fear, it's all too easy to keep quiet. But our Christian faith was never meant to be private. Jesus' followers are instructed to be deliberately and willingly different, seeking to share the life-changing good news they've heard with everyone, whatever the cost. We might feel that we fall very short of this confident evangelistic lifestyle, but John Lennox shows us that any one of us can become an effective gospel witness. Using examples from the Bible and from his own life, John explains practically how we can winsomely share Jesus with our friends, despite our fears. He argues that it is possible to stand up to the pressure society places on us, and in so doing we ll find our Christian life grows in strength and joy

'There will be a resurrection – a resurrection that should not be imagined politically… but it will be a resurrection. Goetheanism still rests in the grave as far as external culture is concerned. But Goetheanism must rise again.' In the first winter following the Great War, Rudolf Steiner appealed to the spirit of Central Europe – which he characterized as Goetheanism – that had been languishing for decades. Only such a spiritual force could provide answers to the pressing social, national and international questions of the time. A new constellation of polar, hostile opposition had emerged after the war, with the East and Bolshevism on one side, and the victorious West and Americanism on the other. In the middle, with no apparent role or hope for the future, was the defeated Central Europe. But this 'centre', beseeched Steiner, should not become a vacuum. Rather, it needs to discover its true, world-historical task.In this context, with deep seriousness and urgency, Rudolf Steiner speaks of the work of Goetheanism, which begins with understanding the threefold human being and leads to threefolding the social organism. Steiner goes on to describe the decisive role of the consciousness soul in the present epoch, and how Schiller's Aesthetic Letters and Goethe's Fairy Tale relate to contemporary challenges. He discusses a multitude of seemingly diverse but interrelated themes, such as the migration of peoples in the past and present, the thinking of John of the Cross, and the modern path of spirit cognition. The first English publication of these lectures features an introduction by Christian von Arnim, notes and an index. Twelve lectures, Dornach, Jan.–Feb. 1919, GA 188
