~~~~~ PG Excerpt ~~~~~
It was a magical night. The food was incredible. Tess took a little from each dish as they arrived, and then, if she liked it, took a little more. By the time dessert arrived – a heavenly tiramisu – she was feeling cheerfully mellow.
A feeling that was only heightened by her father’s obvious appreciation of her appearance. He didn’t leer or ogle or stare at her tits, like some freshman noob. It was more like he was watching a sunset or a brightly-colored hillside in the autumn. It made her feel beautiful and wanted.
And very, very horny. Her nips were screwed up tight inside her bra, and she didn’t dare glance down to see if they were poking out. If they were, Greg didn’t mention it. And if she had dared, she would have taken time in the restroom to pull down her panties and absolutely go to town on her crotch, it was so hot and wet and sensitive.
But instead she was obliged to smile and make polite small-talk while Lucy flirted with her father as he paid the bill, grinding her teeth all the way. On the ride back home across the river, he seemed nervous, glancing at her as they made their way back across the bridge and into Illinois. Personally, Tess had decided by the time the meal was half over that she and her vibrator had a date as soon as she was in her bedroom.
But fate, it seemed, had other ideas.
The compulsion, when it hit her, caught her with her shoes off, her bra undone and hanging from one hand, and half-naked, her black, slinky dress hanging from her waist. Saliva squirted into her mouth at the same time an image hammered into her brain.
I need to give Daddy a blow-job. I bet he tastes so good. And I should reward him for giving me such a great night, even though he’s got to be dying inside.
She turned and walked out of her bedroom, dropping her bra on the floor as she did. Her father’s bedroom was empty, but she could hear the sound of the shower running in the master bath.
I’ll just wait for him. Though the idea of joining him in the shower, both of them naked and slippery, had its own naughty appeal. Unbidden, her hand slipped under the hem of her dress. God, I’m so horny.
The water cut off, and Tess smiled.
    As a young girl growing up in Houston, Margaret Juhae Lee never heard about her grandfather, Lee Chul Ha. His history was lost in early twentieth-century Korea, and guarded by Margaret's grandmother, who Chul Ha left widowed in 1936 with two young sons. To his surviving family, Lee Chul Ha was a criminal, and his granddaughter was determined to figure out why.
    Starry Field chronicles Chul Ha's untold story. Combining investigative journalism, oral history, and archival research, Margaret reveals the truth about the grandfather she never knew. What she found is that Lee Chul Ha was not a source of shame; he was a student revolutionary imprisoned in 1929 for protesting the Japanese government's colonization of Korea. He was a hero—and eventually honored as a Patriot of South Korea almost 60 years after his death. It is through the series of three interviews with her grandmother that Margaret finally finds a sense of recognition she's been missing. A story of healing old wounds and the reputation of an extraordinary young man, Starry Field bridges the tales of two women.
    Starry Field weaves together the stories of Margaret's family against the backdrop of Korea's tumultuous modern history, with a powerful question at its heart. Can we ever separate ourselves from our family's past—and if the answer is yes, should we?
    We’re on the cusp of a paradigm shift, a radical change in worldview that will thrust art and culture onto center stage. What does that mean? How will the world be different? What is the rising spirit of the times and how is it being expressed in art? Arlene Goldbard says, “I have this overwhelming image of energy gathering force and taking shape.” She likens this force to a wave and says, “No one masterminds a wave, ordering all the drops of water into line. Many independent forces operate simultaneously – wind, gravity, disturbances of all kinds – and somehow, the wave mounts.” In this dialogue we explore this mounting force and what’s opposing this rolling tide.     20 Myths about Religion and...
    Ryan P. Burge
    The way most people think about religion and politics is only loosely linked to empirical reality, argues Ryan P. Burge in 20 Myths about Religion and Politics in America. Instead, our thinking is based on anecdotes, a quick scan of news headlines, or worse, flat-out lies told by voices trying to push a religious or political agenda on a distracted public.
    Burge sees this fundamentally flawed understanding of the world around us and our misperceptions about where we fit into the larger fabric of society as caustic for the future of American politics and religion. Without an accurate picture of our society, when we subscribe to only caricatures of what our country looks like, we never really address the problems facing us.
    Striving to be an impartial referee, Burge describes with accessible and engaging prose what the data says. Step by step, he debunks twenty myths, using rigorous data analysis and straightforward explanations. He gives listeners the resources to adopt an empirical view of the world that can help all of us, religious and nonreligious alike, get past at least some of the unsupported beliefs that divide us.
