Sinossi

In "More Minor Horrors," A. E. Sir Shipley presents a collection of chilling tales that reflect the intricacies of human psychology and societal fears through a lens of gothic horror. The narrative style is characterized by richly descriptive prose and a focus on atmospheric tension, inviting readers to immerse themselves in the unsettling worlds Shipley creates. Each story serves as a poignant exploration of the obscure and the uncanny, invoking themes of isolation, dread, and the uncanny aspects of everyday life, encapsulated within a literary context reminiscent of Edgar Allan Poe and M.R. James. A. E. Sir Shipley, a writer steeped in the traditions of British horror, draws inspiration from both folklore and personal experiences to craft these narratives. With a background in literature and a passion for the eerie, Shipley integrates elements of his academic studies with a profound understanding of human fears, having spent years researching the psychological effects of horror on society. This examination of the human condition serves as a foundation for the exploration of the macabre. "More Minor Horrors" is highly recommended for readers who delight in the interplay of horror and literary depth. Shipley'Äôs masterful storytelling invites fans of gothic literature and psychological thrillers alike to delve into this collection, guaranteeing an experience that lingers long after the final page is turned.

"The Cthulhu Mythos" is a system of cosmic entities, forbidden books, and macabre locations created by the American author, H. P. Lovecraft, born August 20th 1890, in Providence, Rhode Island.
This is our second Cthulhu Mythos collection. Our first collection adheres to the work, "Lovecraft: A Look Behind the Cthulhu Mythos" by Lin Carter, whose requirement for including a story was that it must "present us with a significant item of information about the background lore of the Mythos, thus contributing important information to a common body of lore."
The Complete Cthulhu Mythos expands on the above, adding Dagon, Nyarlathotep, The Colour Out of Space, and The Mound. The collection also includes several updated recordings: The Nameless City, The Hound, The Festival, History of the Necronomicon, a dramatic rendition of The Dunwich Horror, and The Shadow over Innsmouth.

"Abnormal Statistics takes us on a desolate walking tour of the everyday American nightmare. Come see what’s happening behind the closed doors and shuttered windows of your neighbors, your best friends, the people you trust most. Bleak and bloody horror that’s as raw and immediate as a pile of yellowed teeth, roots and all."
—Trevor Henderson, creator of Siren Head
"A tightly written and devastating collection. Abnormal Statistics grabs the reader by the throat with each tale, from the stellar opener 'Indiana Death Song' to the harrowing 'Video Nasties.' Throughout the collection, Booth performs a sort of emotional autopsy that's impossible to look away from, even as we're handed our own viscera to hold. Horror, sorrow, fury and dark humor are woven throughout with an expert hand, and by the end, it hurt more of my feelings than I ever knew I possessed."
—Laurel Hightower, author of Crossroads and Below
Suburban decay, familial horror, bleak lullabies. Abnormal Statistics is the debut story collection from Max Booth III.
Bad times are waiting for you.
Featuring 10 reprints and 3 stories original to this collection (including a brand-new novella called "Indiana Death Song").

Known throughout Tennessee as "Old Kate," the Bell Witch took up residence with John Bell's family in 1818. It was a cruel and noisy spirit, given to knocking and gnawing sounds before finding its own voices. With these voices and supernatural acts, the Bell Witch tormented the Bell family. The extraordinary tale recounts the only documented case in U. S. History when a spirit "actually caused a man's death." The then local schoolteacher, Richard Powell, witnessed these strange events and recorded them in a diary for his daughter. His astonishing manuscript fell into the hands of novelist Brent Monohan, who edited it for this retelling. Richard Powell, State Senator for Tennessee, was a schoolteacher when he first encountered the Bell Witch. He died in 1848.

Rosalie Parker runs the independent UK publishing house Tartarus Press with R. B. Russell. Her previous collections include The Old Knowledge (Swan River Press 2010) and Damage (PS Publishing 2016). "In the Garden" was selected for Best New Horror 21 (2010), and "Random Flight" for Best British Horror 2015. Rosalie lives in Coverdale, North Yorkshire, the magnificent landscape of which inspires and sometimes provides the settings for her writing.
BETH-HARVEST HOME: Beth wrapped the bread and cheese back in their papers and tied the parcel into her bundle. It was proper harvest weather; the afternoon sun roasting, the sky a faultless blue.

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown.” This creepy horror story is one of the best written by Lovecraft in my opinion. What unknown being is lurking out there? What entity arrived in that meteor? Never described exactly, yet he manages to let your own imagination smell and taste it in this story.
