V. V. BOUMBASHIREVITCH
V. V. Boumbashirevitch was a philosopher, a painter, an animal advocate, a teacher, and a book reviewer when he was inducted as reserve lieutenant into the Yugoslav King's Guard on the day of the coup, March 27, 1941. He was on duty at the King's residential compound on Sunday, April 6, 1941, at 7 a.m. He took part in the retreat and was ultimately a POW in Nuremberg, Offenburg, and finally in Osnabrück, where he found himself in his room with his colleagues on December 6, 1944, at 8 p.m. He...
