Genevieve “Genny” Arbitrario
Genevieve “Genny” Aguon Arbitrario grew up with six sisters and three brothers in the village of Merizo (Malesso) , Guam. As a young girl, she loved to read. Her favorite books were Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl and Amelia Bedelia stories by Herman Parish. She enjoyed listening to her mother sing Chamorro songs, Chamorro folktales, legends, and experiences of events during World War II.
As a teenager, she kept a journal and wrote anything...
