Edgar Rice Burroughs
Edgar Rice Burroughs (1875–1950) was an American author who began writing while working as a pencil-sharpener salesman in Chicago. He went on to create the Tarzan and Barsoom series and wrote many other adventure novels, among them The Lost Continent, The Mucker, and The Chessmen of Mars.
