Summary

Working for the police as a psychic consultant, finding missing people and things, can get a little crazy sometimes. I thought dealing with my Aunt Rita’s ghosts, my wacky family, and enjoying my new relationship with hunky Detective Nick Cavanaugh would be my routine for a while…Boy was I wrong!
A SERIAL KILLER IS IN TOWN AND HE KNOWS MY NAME!
Just when I thought things were getting back to normal…well, normal for me, I start hearing, “The Song.” Who knew that old song, my parents play at parties, would be the number one favorite song of a serial killer? My boss, Captain Johnson, is having a fit about the FBI taking over and involving me in the case, when he clearly wants me far away from this killer. The FBI does not seem surprised by my abilities. After all, they brought in three psychics of their own. None of them, however, has been able to catch this killer. The tables are turned when the killer sends a video with photos of me and the rest of the team. The hunted is now the hunter and without a picture of this killer, I have no weapon.
The FBI expects me to work miracles; let’s hope I can pull one off.
--Andromeda Spencer

As the Miami Homicide Bureau's lead detective, Lieutenant Nash Harrington has seen just about every way one person could take another's life. Still, the latest scene is something new.
It isn't the woman who was violently stabbed to death in her bed. Nash has seen similar scenes countless times. It isn't the fact that there were no signs of forced entry, murder weapons, or suspects. He's seen that more times than he could count.
What is new to the lieutenant is the book lying beside the woman's body. The book, ominously titled and written by a local author, describes the very scene that Harrington has been called to.
And that scene from the book is just the first. As the body count rises, Harrington and his team must hunt down the person responsible for the grisly crimes before the entire work of fiction becomes a reality.
Unknown to Harrington, this story may have an alternate ending.

The constant nightmares about that guy she stabbed aren’t helping either.
Plus now that Topher's back, keeping her thing with James McKenzie a secret is going to be tricky – especially since James and her bro are living together.
Charlie needs to catch the murderer, if she doesn’t get caught out first.
So basically it’s business as usual.

Jo Nesbo’s The Snowman is soon to be a major motion picture, starring Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, and J.K. Simmons.
“An elegant and complex thriller….Harrowingly beautiful.”
    —New York Times Book Review
“A hugely impressive achievement—ambitious in scope, and skilled in execution.”
    —Los Angeles Times
“The Redbreast certainly ranks with the best of current American crime fiction.”
    —Washington Post
No disrespect meant to Henning Mankell and Stieg Larsson, but Jo Nesbø, the New York Times bestselling author of The Snowman, is the most exciting Scandinavian thriller writer in the crime fiction business. The Redbreast is a fabulous introduction to Nesbø’s tough-as-nails series protagonist, Oslo police detective Harry Hole. A brilliant and epic novel, breathtaking in its scope and design—winner of The Glass Key for best Nordic crime novel and selected as the best Norwegian crime novel ever written by members of Norway’s book clubs—The Redbreast is a chilling tale of murder and betrayal that ranges from the battlefields of World War Two to the streets of modern-day Oslo. Follow Hole as he races to stop a killer and disarm a ticking time-bomb from his nation’s shadowy past. Vogue magazine says that “nobody can delve into the dark, twisted mind of a murderer better than a Scandinavian thriller writer”…and nobody does it better than Jo Nesbø! James Patterson fans should also take note.

Leith and Dion are on the hunt for a different kind of murderer … and he’s a real animal.

It seems the October rains have brought death and disaster to North Vancouver. A missing hiker is found by his son and daughter, a foul smell leads to a mauled body in a crawl space, and a small boy is attacked by a man in wolf form.

Once an up-and-coming Serious Crimes investigator, these days Constable Cal Dion is back on general duties, feeling out-of-the-loop and rebellious. On a routine canvassing task, he finds himself questioning an attractive witness, one he feels is peripheral enough to the crawl space case that he would be safe in asking her out. Of course, it’s the worst decision.… Constable David Leith is in the thick of the same investigation, a case complicated by rumours running wild and a most elusive suspect. Halloween has brought out the ghouls for Leith and his team … and possibly a shapeshifter as well, with murder on its mind.

A Crowner John medieval mystery set in 12th century Devon, EnglandWhen Crowner John is summoned to the bleak Devonshire moors to investigate the murder of a tin miner, he has little idea how difficult this new investigation will prove to be. The victim is a trusted and well-loved overman of Devon's most powerful and successful mine owner, Walter Knapman. There seems to be only one possible motive - to sabotage Walter's business. But the tinners have their own laws, and they are none too pleased at Crowner John's interference. Especially as their main experience of officials has been with Sheriff Richard de Revelle, whose notoriously high taxes keep them in a permanent state of fury and near rebellion. And then Walter disappears. Stephen Acland, Walter's business rival wastes no time in comforting Walter's beautiful wife Joan, who appears remarkably unmoved by her husband's disappearance. Meanwhile, Walter's brother is going frantic with worry ...or could it be guilt? A decapitated body, a missing tinner, a disgruntled band of miners and a mad Saxon, intent on the destruction of all things Norman. How on earth can Crowner John sort all this out when his wife hates him, his mistress has spurned him for a younger man, and his clerk is in the grip of a suicidal depression? Only Gwyn, Crowner John's indispensable right-hand man seems to be of any help at all, until he is arrested for murder and put on trial for his life.
