Summary

Staff Sergeant Liam McGregor doesn’t know what hit him. Sent home to recuperate from an IED blast, Liam is stuck in a wheelchair and is sentenced to surgery and physical therapy before he can walk again.

A physical therapist, Abby Worth has loved Liam McGregor since she first noticed boys. It’s too bad he’s her brother’s best friend. She has always been firmly put in the baby sister zone no matter how hard she tried to catch his eye.

Liam sees Abby and when she goes home with him doesn’t know how he can keep his hands off of her. She’s now old enough to touch and the fire in his blood and the combination of pain killers make him lose control. Abby can’t help but take what she’s always wanted.

Together they have to overcome their fear of being left behind to grab what they have always wanted-each other.

Kay Winston is a muralist and a runner. Not a break-the-tape-at-the-finish-line runner, but at the first sign of relationship trouble, she's gone. No need to hang around for the post-mortem; no need to make the pain last any longer than necessary. She isn't a sadist. She's practical and can be packed in less than three hours. Since the age of eight, the place she runs to is Bell Harbor, Maine.

Barrett "Bear" Coulter is more of a long distance runner. After selling his ex half of their architectural design business in LA, he ran until he literally ran out of land. Bell Harbor, Maine was a far as he could get and remain in the country. His friends said he was crazy. After all, what sane person moves to Maine in mid-February?

Painting the lobby at the Bell Harbor Inn would come with some amazing benefits for Kay—financial independence, internship credits from the graduate school, and seeing its handsome, incredibly sexy owner on a regular basis. One important snag: "Whatever you do, don't sleep with the man!"

That's because the hands and body don't communicate on a practice swingÔÇöthey let you get on with it on your own. They only bother to 'talk' to each other when you're about to hit a shot at a specific target. When the crunch comes and you're ready to swing back, if the aim of the club doesn't match up to your intended swing path, they hit the panic button, take control and stick the swing on autopilot. But as a debt-ridden second son, he knows his only chance of winning such a prize is to resort to trickery, and he concocts a plan to trap her into marrying him. But his plan to seduce Clarissa Edwardes at a masked ball backfires when he discovers that the woman in his arms isn’t the one he desires.   When Clarissa falls ill on the day of the ball, and the costume of her spinster stepsister, Jane Wentworth, meets with disaster, Clarissa hatches a plan of her own: Jane must go to the masquerade disguised as Clarissa. As planned, Jane is mistaken for Clarissa by everyone, including Quentin. Jane, who is secretly in love with Quentin, is thrilled by his notice.
