    There is a behavioural nirvana. One that is calm, purposeful and respectful. Where poor behaviour is as rare as a PE teacher in trousers and where relationships drive achievement. Annoyingly and predictably, the road is hard and the ride bumpy and littered with cliches. It is achievable though. And when you get there it is a little slice of heaven.
    A revolution in behaviour can be exciting, dynamic and, at times, pleasantly terrifying. But revolution is short-lived. In After the Adults Change Paul shows you that, after the behaviour of the adults (i.e. the staff) has changed, there is an opportunity to go wider and deeper: to accelerate relational practice, decrease disproportionate punishment and fully introduce restorative, informed and coaching-led cultures.
    Paul delves into the possibilities for improvement in pupil behaviour and teacher-pupil relationships, drawing further upon a hugely influential behaviour management approach whereby expectations and boundaries are exemplified by calm, consistent and regulated adults.

    My Prodigal Son and Our Journey Together
    This book was written by the father of his son, Michael, who earnestly tried but failed to beat alcohol and drug addiction. It is narrated by his father describing the difficult journey his son chose and one that he did not take alone. His family was right there with him supporting and loving him wherever he was on his journey, no matter how difficult it was. The best way to describe the spirit and purpose of this book is to hear from both the father and son below.From Dad
    “I experienced a loss that I still cannot come to terms with. My beautiful son, Michael, died three years ago. Prior to his tragic ending, he tried everything to break away from his addictions of alcohol and drugs, but nothing worked.
     He was loved by many and befriended others suffering from the same disease as he did. His message to them is the same one he is sending through this book. In his very own words, he described his journey as follows…”From his Son Michael
    “Dad, I never knew my life would get to this point. I am slowly losing everything due to something I thought I could never become. My denial has led me to death’s door on so many occasions it’s just a matter of time."
                                                                                                                  *  *  *  *  *
    This book is a gift from Michael’s father to his son. As you will hear, Michael has been urging his dad through dreams, songs, and other means to write this book-His book as a cautionary tale to those who are flirting with alcohol and drugs-so as to give them a wakeup call what will be in store from them if they foolishly take the same fatal journey he so unwittingly travelled.

    The Fight for Privacy -...

    Privacy is disappearing. From our sex lives to our workout routines, the details of our lives once relegated to pen and paper have joined the slipstream of new technology. As a MacArthur fellow and distinguished professor of law at the University of Virginia, acclaimed civil rights advocate Danielle Citron has spent decades working with lawmakers and stakeholders across the globe to protect what she calls intimate privacy—encompassing our bodies, health, gender, and relationships. When intimate privacy becomes data, corporations know exactly when to flash that ad for a new drug or pregnancy test. Social and political forces know how to manipulate what you think and who you trust, leveraging sensitive secrets and deepfake videos to ruin or silence opponents. And as new technologies invite new violations, people have power over one another like never before, from revenge porn to blackmail, attaching life-altering risks to growing up, dating online, or falling in love.A masterful new look at privacy in the twenty-first century, The Fight for Privacy takes the focus off Silicon Valley moguls to investigate the price we pay as technology migrates deeper into every aspect of our lives: entering our bedrooms and our bathrooms and our midnight texts; our relationships with friends, family, lovers, and kids; and even our relationship with ourselves.
