Summary

At a time our world as we know it is pretty much on lockdown, I've published this book to bring hope and insight to my fellow mamas all over the world, to encourage you to make this moment in time count. Based on my experience as a mom of three and a family childcare provider for fourteen years, I've filled this book with practical tips and strategies to empower you as a parent during this time of crisis. I tackle the emotions you may be experiencing. I offer tips on entertaining and educating your little ones, as well as facilitating your school-aged children's assignments. I offer simple yet effective tips for protecting your health, specifically for the virus we're currently dealing with. And I finish the book off with a few suggestions on how to save and make money during an economic hardship as well as touching on a few other topics.I pray that this guide will touch the hearts of everyone who reads it, whether you're a parent or simply a concerned citizen who's been affected by these circumstances. We're all in this together, and if we support one another and keep hope alive, we will come out stronger on the other side.

This is a book with nine short, separate books in it, but the topics are all somehow related. The titles relate to these topics:
Topic 1: There is no doubt about the fact that introverts are different than extroverts. Although every person has their own unique personality traits, some generalizations can help us gain greater insights in the workings of our brains, and with that understanding, we can function better, feel better, and live better.
    Topic 2: Empaths… empathy… sensitivity… what’s the difference?
Some people have developed a knack for feeling compassion or empathy for other people. To others, it comes naturally. And to some, it’s an intense gift that has ups and downs, pros and cons that allow them to help others but also become fatigued when they don’t watch themselves.
Are you an empath? Or do you just have a lot of empathy?
In this guide, you’ll figure out some of the major distinctions, as well as specific types of empaths, like earth empaths, physical empaths, relationship empaths, dark empaths, and food empaths. You will also receive some advice about how to lead your empathic children in the right paths of life.
Topic 3: The contents of this book will guide you along to a variety of topics related to high sensitivity. They range from the simple basics of what makes someone a highly sensitive person to the connection between high sensitivity and autism, the attraction of narcissists, tips to stop worrying, and how to face rejection without getting hurt. And the last chapter talks about how hypersensitivity can be a hereditary factor people are born with.

Now available in audio for the first time! Darrell Huff's celebrated classic "How to Lie With Statistics" is a straight-forward and engaging guide to understanding the manipulation and misrepresentation of information that could be lurking behind every graph, chart, and infographic. Originally published in 1954, it remains as relevant and necessary as ever in our digital world where information is king—and as easy to distort and manipulate as it is to access. A pre-cursor to modern popular science books like Steven D. Levitt's "Freakonomics" and Malcolm Gladwell's "Outliers", Huff runs the gamut of every popularly used type of statistic, probes such things as the sample study, the tabulation method, the interview technique, or the way the results are derived from the figures, and points up the countless number of dodges which are used to full rather than to inform. Critically acclaimed by media outlets like The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal and recommended by Bill Gates as a perfect beach read, "How to Lie With Statistics" stands as the go-to book for understanding the use of statistics by teachers and leaders everywhere. "A hilarious exploration of mathematical mendacity…. Every time you pick it up, what happens? Bang goes another illusion!" — The New York Times"In one short take after another, Huff picks apart the ways in which marketers use statistics, charts, graphics and other ways of presenting numbers to baffle and trick the public. The chapter “How to Talk Back to a Statistic” is a brilliant step-by-step guide to figuring out how someone is trying to deceive you with data." — Wall Street Journal"A great introduction to the use of statistics, and a great refresher for anyone who's already well versed in it." — Bill Gates"Mr. Huff's lively, human-interest treatment of the dry-as-bones subject of statistics is a timely tonic…This book needed to be written, and makes its points in an entertaining, highly readable manner."— Management Review"Illustrator and author pool their considerable talents to provide light lively reading and cartoon far which will entertain, really inform, and take the wind out of many an overblown statistical sail." — Library Journal"A pleasantly subversive little book, guaranteed to undermine your faith in the almighty statistic." — Atlantic
