Summary

My hope is that families, parents and children alike, enjoy this book. Its meant to just bring smiles on faces, and also educate children on literary terms and devices such as a pun. Puns are used everyday in our speech, we just dont realize it. I wrote some of my own puns, and used them in this book. Please enjoy and stay positive

Stevie, a recovering alcoholic and kitchen manager of Chappy’s, a small-chain restaurant, is frantically trying to prevent the people around her from going supernova: her PTSD-suffering veteran son, her uproariously demented parents, the polyglot eccentrics who work in her kitchen, the blind geriatric dog she inherits, and a damaged five-year-old who landed on her doorstep and might just be her granddaughter.
In the tight grip of new corporate owners, Stevie battles corporate’s “restructuring” to save her kitchen, while trying to learn to forgive herself and maybe allow some love back into her life. Stevie’s biting, hilarious take on her own and others’ foibles will make you cheer and will have you loving Misconduct of the Heart (in the immortal words of Stevie’s best line cook) “like never tomorrow.”

The Voltarian invaders are getting down and dirty...in the deadliest of games.

    The price: Planet Earth...

Voltarian Royal Officer Jettero Heller has heart, nerve and a quick mind on his side. His archenemy Soltan Gris has cunning, ruthlessness and a devious plan on his. But what neither of them has is money — and without that they may as well pack up and go back to Voltar. Because as every earthling knows — no pay, no play.

Heller's solution is a weekend in Atlantic City, where he puts a new spin on gambling. He's got a foolproof system, guaranteeing that he'll win every bet he makes.

Gris, on the other hand, has found an unexpected source of income. His body. Turns out there are certain women - with a very perverse sense of humor - willing to pay to play with him.

Into this world of dirty money, dirty tricks, and dirty games - the wildest of wild cards is about to change everything. Countess Krak is back—and this voluptuous Voltarian, condemned murderess and love of Heller's life could prove to be the key player in coming to grips with a Fortune of Fear.

British adolescent angst has never been so “laugh-out-loud funny” as in this first encounter with a sharp-witted, pining, and achingly honest underdog (The New York Times).  Perhaps when I am famous and my diary is discovered, people will understand the torment of being a 13¾-year-old undiscovered intellectual.   Adrian Mole is approaching fourteen, and like all radical intellectuals he must amass his grievances: His acne vulgaris is grotesque; his crush, Pandora, received seventeen Valentine’s Day cards; his PE teacher is a sadist; he fears his parents’ marriage is over since they no longer smoke together; his dog has gone AWOL; no one appreciates his poetry; and Animal Farm has set him off pork for good. If everyone were as appalled as Adrian Mole, it would be a better world.   Introducing “one of literature’s most endearing figures”: a luckless adolescent of great expectations and dwindling patience who knows all—or believes he does—and tells all (The Observer). First published in 1982, Adrian’s chronicle of angst has sold more than twenty million copies worldwide, spawned seven sequels, and been adapted for television and staged as a musical. Here’s where it all began.

Praise for Star Trek Cats“Is it too early to state that this book is possibly the quintessential Christmas stocking filler for the lover of Star Trek AND cats in your family?” —Starburst “Featuring big, bold artistic interpretations of many a famous Star Trek scene, except with, well, uh, cats, the book is rewarding for both an episode-quoting Trekkie and your favorite crazy cat lover. And if you happen to be both of those things, it's most certainly an item you will want to add to your collection.” —TrekCore “Jenny Parks is a great illustrator. The way she has captured the characters and a variety of our favorite aliens while making them inhabit very feline traits is superb and delivers a many good laughs. The “wise, wildly funny story” of a self-destructive writer’s lost weekend by a Pulitzer Prize–winning, New York Times–bestselling author (Chicago Tribune). A wildly successful first novel made Grady Tripp a young star, and seven years later he still hasn’t grown up. He’s now a writing professor in Pittsburgh, plummeting through middle age, stuck with an unfinishable manuscript, an estranged wife, a pregnant girlfriend, and a talented but deeply disturbed student named James Leer. During one lost weekend at a writing festival with Leer and debauched editor Terry Crabtree, Tripp must finally confront the wreckage made of his past decisions. Mordant but humane, Wonder Boys features characters as loveably flawed as any in American fiction. This ebook features a biography of the author.
