Summary

What comes to your mind after reading the below statements from a renowned industry research firm?

It is predicted that a large enterprise exclusive use of AIOps and digital experience monitoring tools to monitor applications and infrastructure will rise from 5% in 2018 to 30% in 2023.

Also, Only 47% of machine learning models are making it into production (Comes MLOPS!)

Do you have similar thoughts?

Is it just a new Buzzword or repackaging of the existing system? If it’s for real, how is it going to impact the Business/Industry?

How my business or job would get impacted?

If it has just started, how can I leverage from wherever I am?

Which are the major players/startups in this area?

Depending on your role, it may be useful for you to know about AIOPS & MLOPS:

If you are a Business Consultant trying to make the system more efficient and profitable, reaping the benefits of Automation in your application development process

If you are a Technology Consultant and want to make your operation more Agile, Automated and easily deployable

If you are a Technology Professional looking for a role in these upcoming areas to be an early adopter in your organization or just starting your career and want to understand the ecosystem

If you are from HR or Training field and want to understand the job/Training requirements for these upcoming roles

Beyond the apparent hustle and bustle of buzzwords and nomenclature every year, I genuinely believe that AI would drastically change the software development and deployment model in the next two years, and all these new startups would drive this change.

It’s astonishing how fast this cycle is moving. Especially for us who had seen the world before the internet came into our daily lives!! This book is my attempt to update you on the unfolding story of AIOPS and MLOPS as “story till now. “

So here is to our Continuous Learning and Progress! Cheers.

A few years ago, Andri Snaer Magnason, one of Iceland's most beloved writers and public intellectuals, was asked by a leading climate scientist why he wasn't writing about the greatest crisis mankind has faced. Magnason demurred: he wasn't a specialist, it wasn't his field. But the scientist persisted: "If you cannot understand our scientific findings and present them in an emotional, psychological, poetic or mythological context," he told him, "then no one will really understand the issue, and the world will end."Based on interviews and advice from leading glacial, ocean, climate, and geographical scientists, and interwoven with personal, historical, and mythological stories, Magnason's response is a rich and compelling work of narrative nonfiction that illustrates the reality of climate change—and offers hope in the face of an uncertain future. Moving from reflections on how one writes an obituary for an iceberg to exhortation for a heightened understanding of human time and our obligations to one another, throughout history and across the globe, On Time and Water is both deeply personal and globally-minded: a travel story, a world history, and a desperate plea to live in harmony with future generations. This is a book unlike anything that has yet been published on the current climate emergency.

An assessment of where we are, where we’re headed, and what we need to do before it’s too late: “Instructive, well-researched, and easy-to-read.” —John T. Ackerman, Strategic Studies Quarterly   This era of staggering scientific and technological innovations, with major changes in agriculture, manufacturing, commerce, and communications, seems to document unparalleled human achievement. Yet when we examine the long-term implications, it becomes clear that the delicate environmental balance that sustains life on this planet is under serious threat, and the past century may be remembered not as a period of great progress but as one marked by unrestrained consumption and failure to come close to a sustainable use of the earth’s limited natural resources.   In The State of the Earth, noted historian Paul K. Conkin provides a comprehensive analysis of the many environmental hazards that humans must face in this still-young century. Our activities have threatened the survival of many plants and animals, created scarcities in cultivatable soils and water needed for irrigation, used up a large share of fossil fuels, polluted air and water, and most likely created conditions that will lead to devastating climate changes. This is an invaluable resource for those who desire a broad yet thorough and scientifically informed introduction to present environmental challenges.

The notion that maternal care and love will determine a child’s emotional well-being and future personality has become ubiquitous. In countless stories and movies we find that the problems of the protagonists—anything from the fear of romantic commitment to serial killing—stem from their troubled relationships with their mothers during childhood. How did we come to hold these views about the determinant power of mother love over an individual’s emotional development? And what does this vision of mother love entail for children and mothers?           In The Nature and Nurture of Love, Marga Vicedo examines scientific views about children’s emotional needs and mother love from World War II until the 1970s, paying particular attention to John Bowlby’s ethological theory of attachment behavior. Vicedo tracks the development of Bowlby’s work as well as the interdisciplinary research that he used to support his theory, including Konrad Lorenz’s studies of imprinting in geese, Harry Harlow’s experiments with monkeys, and Mary Ainsworth’s observations of children and mothers in Uganda and the United States. Vicedo’s historical analysis reveals that important psychoanalysts and animal researchers opposed the project of turning emotions into biological instincts. Despite those substantial criticisms, she argues that attachment theory was paramount in turning mother love into a biological need. This shift introduced a new justification for the prescriptive role of biology in human affairs and had profound—and negative—consequences for mothers and for the valuation of mother love.

Nelson-Isaacs tells us that synchronicity is defined as a meaningful coincidence that is personal and that it is nature’s language for communicating directly with us. He writes: “As you develop your personal sense of the meaning of events in your life, you enter into a cosmic dance with the divine that is totally unique to you.”
