Summary

This book of poetry is about the ups and downs of being a woman in today's world. Each poem is a reflection of how the poet see's the world through her eyes. The poet's feelings and thoughts go beyond it's artistry and depth in each poem. Through verse, the poet tells a story of being a normal woman who experiences love, heartache, happiness, self esteem issues, depression, love of music, and beauty in many forms.

Families are places of love, care, and fun; also of anger, anxiety, and quarrels. Not Speaking tells the story of a Greek matriarch, Rena, and her English children in post-war London and the present.
It begins with Rena’s move out of a flat in St John’s Wood owned by her son Nicky Clarke, and the family disagreement that erupted. Moving through the London slums of Blackfriars, Greece under Nazi occupation, the Old Kent Road, Elephant and Castle, and the world of Mayfair hairdressing, this is a tale of enrichment and fame, infidelity and its consequences.
And in the end, it has a message: every family is unique and all families are the same.

If you are tired of being on a diet all the time, if you have had enough of dietary supplements and “magic potions”, or if you feel that you are constantly searching for the lifestyle you were meant to follow, but you cannot achieve more than temporary successes... then this book is for you!

There is one thing you have not taken into consideration yet: you are a special living being who has been equipped with a host of useful and viable features thanks to millions of years of evolution.

In nature, we had to rely on ourselves, and our body knew the solution for every situation. The problem is that we became estranged from ourselves, from our true nature, which causes civilisational problems on both physical and psychological levels.

This book is about how we can utilise the ancient knowledge of our body to return to our harmonious state, purely through natural methods. We can do this with the help of proper nutrition, exercise and the appropriate environmental conditions.

“I have tried every slimming diet, but I couldn’t escape the ‘yo-yo effect’. Ever since I started following the AKB Way as a lifestyle, I have managed to keep losing weight but without starving, while my acute enteritis has also disappeared completely. I wish you all the best and a great success! :-)” Andrea H., Budapest

“I am undergoing treatment with dialysis because of a serious renal problem. I had only been following the suggested lifestyle for three weeks when the chief physician saw my lab results and asked me if I could share what I eat and how, as he would like to suggest it to other patients. Alongside the fact that I had already stopped taking two medications (antihypertensive and diuretic) over 3 weeks, this convinced me completely… Transplantation became a more distant option for me, and I am very grateful for that!” László M., Üröm

“I do sports actively, and I gave myself one month to try this lifestyle. My performance improved significantly – quite understandably – and my sense of wellbeing and energies became enhanced too. I stopped taking expensive dietary supplements, which gave me a great sense of freedom.” Balázs K., Budapest

“With the help of the new diet, my bodyweight has returned to normal. I sleep more soundly, I wake up in the morning energised and I don’t get tired or lethargic during the day either.” Róbert P., Piliscsaba

    ABOUT THE BOOK
High blood pressure (HBP) or hypertension, a prevalent condition in the United States, is a major risk factor for stroke and heart attack. According to the American Heart Association, the economic burden to our society from HBP related problems and diseases is more than $93.5 billion per year.
Approximately 90 to 95% of all HBP patients have so-called essential HBP for which the cause is unknown. The remainder 5 to 10% has secondary HBP due to diseases of the arteries, heart, the adrenal glands or kidneys. The blood pressure measurement consists of two numbers, the top number is known as systolic and the bottom number, diastolic, BP expressed in mm Hg. Systolic BP is generated during the contraction of the heart whereas diastolic BP is generated during relaxation in between heartbeats.

Several aspects of the Natural Medicine relevant to HBP will include the following:
    Source
    Mechanism
    Evidence-based of effectiveness
    Adverse Reactions
    Precautions
    Dosage
The effectiveness of these Natural Medicines will be ranked into one of four categories:

Some negotiations are easy. Others are more difficult. And then there are situations that seem completely hopeless. Conflict is escalating, people are getting aggressive, and no one is willing to back down. And to top it off, you have little power or other resources to work with. Harvard professor and negotiation adviser Deepak Malhotra shows how to defuse even the most potentially explosive situations and to find success when things seem impossible.Malhotra identifies three broad approaches for breaking deadlocks and resolving conflicts, and draws out scores of actionable lessons using behind-the-scenes stories of fascinating real-life negotiations, including drafting of the US Constitution, resolving the Cuban Missile Crisis, ending bitter disputes in the NFL and NHL, and beating the odds in complex business situations. But he also shows how these same principles and tactics can be applied in everyday life, whether you are making corporate deals, negotiating job offers, resolving business disputes, tackling obstacles in personal relationships, or even negotiating with children. As Malhotra reminds us, regardless of the context or which issues are on the table, negotiation is always, fundamentally, about human interaction. No matter how high the stakes or how protracted the dispute, the object of negotiation is to engage with other human beings in a way that leads to better understandings and agreements. The principles and strategies in this book will help you do this more effectively in every situation.

In pop culture as much as in policy advocacy, the feminist movement has historically left infertile women out in the cold. This book traverses the chilly landscape of miscarriage, and the particular grief that accompanies the longing to make a family. Framed by her own desire for a child, journalist Alexandra Kimball brilliantly reveals the pain and loneliness of infertility, especially as a lifelong feminist. Her experience of online infertility support groups -- where women gather in forums to discuss IVF, surrogacy, and isolation -- leaves her longing for a real life community of women working to break down the stigma of infertility. In the tradition of Eula Biss’s On Immunity and Barbara Ehrenreich's Bright-sided, Kimball marries perceptive analysis with deep reportage -- her findings show the lie behind the prevailing, and at times paradoxical, cultural attitudes regarding women’s right to actively choose to have children. Braiding together feminist history, memoir, and reporting from the front lines of the battle for reproductive rights and technology, The Seed plants in readers the desire for a world where no woman is made to feel that her biology is her destiny.
