The Chronicles of Clovis
Saki Saki

Summary
Born in 1870, Saki was in fact an English satirical writer whose name was Hector Hugh Munro. He died during WWI in 1916. This book is a collection of short stories mostly about a character called Clovis Sangrail. He is an irascible twenty-something character, well-heeled, reasonably well-educated, and idle because he does not need to work. He is a bit of a prankster but also an observer of life and its silliness.
