Summary

Meditation is a personal
Journey of Discovery

It is generally an internal, personal practice and done without any external involvement. A personal journey for inner enlightenment. Individuals report they experience more enjoyment and appreciation of life and their relationships with others have improved. Meditation produces a state of deep relaxation and a sense of balance or equanimity.

This insight offers you the possibility of feeling more confident and in control of your life. Meditation facilitates a greater sense of calmness, empathy and acceptance of self and others.

Since the 1960s, meditation has been the focus of increased research into the benefits of this technique upon the mind and body.

In over 1,000 published reports, it has shown various methods of meditation have been linked to positive changes in metabolism, blood pressure, functionality of the brain and other bodily processes.
A report commissioned in the late 90's by the National Institute of Health on alternative medicine concluded: 'More than 30 years of research as well as the experience of a large number of individuals and health care providers shows meditation and similar forms of relaxation can lead to better health and lifestyle.'

As you can see, research has been conducted for many years and the number of medical practitioners and counselors suggesting meditation today is growing as an alternative to engaging prescription drugs for common stress related symptoms.

I encourage you to consider the assistance this program can provide. Our lives are a reflection of our spiritual and mental well being. The choice is yours.

Senior biologist Trish Sakai is ready for a change from her wild, flirtatious behavior. So Trish creates three simple rules from First and Second Corinthians and plans to follow them to the letter. No more looking at men as possible dates, especially non-Christians. Second, tell others about Christ. And third, she will persevere in hardship by relying on God. And just to make sure she behaves, she enlists the help of her three cousins, Lex, Venus and Jennifer, the only Christians in their large extended family. But Trish’s dangerously tempting ex-boyfriend, Kazuo the artist, keeps popping up at all the wrong moments, and her grandmother, who has her eye on his family money, keeps trying to push the two of them back together again. Then there’s Spencer, the hunky colleague at work who keeps turning Trish’s thoughts in the wrong direction. It just isn’t fair! She’s trying so hard, but instead of being God’s virtuous woman, she’s going nuts trying to stand firm against two hunky guys. Trish thought following her three rules would be a cinch, but suddenly those simple rules don’t seem so simple after all.

Silver Sinclair's love life has always been more like the sinking of the Titanic than a Club Med cruise, but this breakup letter from Chris Bentley is a new low. It's as cold and impersonal as a You're fired letter from an employer or a complaint about a defective widget. She'd be devastated by it except for one minor point: Who is Chris Bentley?
Silver's bewilderment quickly turns to indignation. What kind of guy writes such an insensitive to end a relationship? An insensitive clod, that's who! Which is exactly what Silver tells him when the sparks fly - and the latte spills - at their fiery first meeting.
Earlier published in print but now unavailable, Dear Silver is for the first time available as an e-book.
Most of Lorena McCourtney's readers know her as a mystery writer, but Dear Silver proves she has romance as well as murder in her heart!
