Summary

Eleven Minutes is the story of Maria, a young girl from a Brazilian village, whose first innocent brushes with love leave her heartbroken. At a tender age, she becomes convinced that she will never find true love, instead believing that "love is a terrible thing that will make you suffer. . . ." A chance meeting in Rio takes her to Geneva, where she dreams of finding fame and fortune. Maria's despairing view of love is put to the test when she meets a handsome young painter. In this odyssey of self-discovery, Maria has to choose between pursuing a path of darkness -- sexual pleasure for its own sake -- or risking everything to find her own "inner light" and the possibility of sacred sex, sex in the context of love.

Who runs the world? Is there a shadow world of powerful and elite men pulling the strings of our global society? If so, when did it originate and why?
What is the real significance of Rosslyn Chapel? What were the Templars, Assassins, Druids, Augurs, Sufi and many more really planning for all of mankind?
Angels, Demons and Freemasons explores the myths, folklore and legends of the world of secret societies and provides startling evidence for a true and all too real conspiracy that has been ongoing for centuries.
Within every religion and every State there lurks an underground stream controlling and manipulating those in power. Great knowledge was fostered and hidden by these groups. Wars and revolutions were carefully planned and orchestrated by a Universal Brotherhood.
The knowledge and power of these people would be deemed sacred and protected. Whether it was practical methods of survival such as navigation and measurement or inner psychological and spiritual wisdom, it would become the foundation for secret societies the world over.
This is the story of the groups who have guarded this sacred knowledge for centuries. Featuring cutting edge CGI and never before seen footage of Freemason Lodges and the mysterious Rosslyn Chapel. Special guest George Knapp author of Hunt for the Skinwalker.

Real-life stories from people working twelve-step programs, and practical advice from the author of Addiction & Grief.

Clean and sober twenty days or twenty years—it makes no difference. We all need a little help every once in a while. Barb Rogers has been sober for a long time. And she knows that doesn’t make a difference—what makes a difference is that she’s clean and sober today.

Rogers’s newest book offers true stories from real life people. Their addictions have led them to a twelve-step program. Yet, in working the program, they have found, as the saying goes, things are simple but not always easy. The important thing is—no matter what difficulties we have with any of the steps—is to keep working the steps, as many times as it takes. There is no perfection, there is no goal, there is only walking the talk, one day at a time.

In 12 Steps That Can Save Your Life, Barb Rogers once again offers down-home sensible advice, along with stories a struggling reader can identify with. Twelve-step programs are neither cult, curse, nor cure. They work because they are ongoing, because of the focus is inward and outward, and because people recognize that their lives are better when they work them.

Praise for 12 Steps That Can Save Your Life

“This small book offers great insight, hope, education, and the invitation to celebrate or even to recommit to the 12-Step journey, if one has wandered away. I have been on this path for 34 years and thoroughly enjoyed hearing Barb’s stories and sharing in her joy about the miracle recovery has given her and so many others.” —Karen Casey, Ph.D., author of Let Go Now

“Barb Rogers does it again! In plain language, she explains the simple 12-Step program that has saved so many lives. It saved mine, and yours could be next.” —Elizabeth Engstrom, author of The Northwoods Chronicles

“Barb shows how the 12 Steps can be applied to overcome any problem destroying your life. When she says the Steps can save your life, it isn’t just a hook to get you to buy the book—it is a reality.” —Allen Berger, Ph.D., author of 12 More Stupid Things that Mess Up Recovery

“If Barb Rogers were the Lone Ranger, her latest book would be a silver bullet left in her wake. 12 Steps That Can Save Your Life is a powerful tool.” —Earnie Larsen, author of Stage II Recovery: Life Beyond Addiction

Early on in life, she knew that she had to break the cycle of intergenerational trauma. This book is about Tina’s journey; about never losing sight of the bigger picture. It is about a self-taught passage to ‘codeswitch’ between the way the world sees her as an Aboriginal woman, and the way she wants to be seen and what her place is in this world. This account is also about her fight through the adversity of poverty, domestic violence, alcohol abuse, and racism, to a successful career in the Australian Defence Force. As Tina continues to grow and gather new life tools to be content and live a happy life, she wants to share this message; she hopes this book can help others on their journey of self-discovery and happiness. With her head held high, Tina now proudly walks this earth, just as her ancestors once walked before her … this is not only for herself but for her beautiful kids.
