The authors visited Venezuela, Cuba, Andes, Mexico and USA where they collected the material and made extensive notes. Their joint effort to record a memoir of this great expedition is quite interesting and valuable because it contain specific documentation of their scientific observations, but it also presents an intriguing and romantic work with many poetic descriptions of nature and the people who lived in the areas he visited.
