Summary

Aisling Moss is balanced on the crystal edge of success as one of the most sought-after wedding planners in London…until one ill-advised move brings her career crashing down around her feet like a toppled tower of champagne flutes. The next day, a letter from a family solicitor arrives at her flat, and she has to choose between picking up the pieces of her career in London or taking the next flight to Wales to honor the wishes of someone she loves.

Finn Morgan was forced to end her fighting career after an injury sidelined her dreams of being a star in the cutthroat world of professional women’s boxing. Her job as a short-order cook in a Brooklyn diner certainly doesn’t compare, but it also doesn’t require her to think about what she wants to do with her life. Sleeping with her boss’s wife and spending quality time with a punching bag is all she needs, until the day she comes home to find a letter from across the pond, surrounded by a pool of warm sunlight, on her entry table.

Once in Wales, long-kept secrets and unexpected demands surface for both Finn and Aisling, and they are forced to make hard decisions about their futures: Do they return to rebuild the lives they had, or take a chance on love in wild, windswept Wales?

The summer after the First World War, Moira married Donald, an elderly farmer. At the time, it was abundantly clear that most of the men Moira’s own age who had gone off to fight in France were never coming back; women danced together at the village hall, contenting themselves with a sly kiss or two in the dark lanes going home in the scented dusk.
But now another war has shattered the peace of Moira’s quiet village and young German prisoners of war are bathing naked in the local pond, awakening desires in her that she thought she had buried long ago…
This period story about the erotic goings-on of a Scottish village in the 1940s is written by critically-acclaimed author Vanessa de Sade, and is sure to be popular with erotica fans of all genres.

In her witty and breathtakingly sexy novel, Emily Foster introduces a story of lust, friendship, and other unpredictable experiments. . . Data, research, scientific formulae--Annabelle Coffey is completely at ease with all of them. Men, not so much. But that's all going to change after she asks Dr. Charles Douglas, the postdoctoral fellow in her lab, to have sex with her. Charles is not only beautiful, he is also adorably awkward, British, brilliant, and nice. What are the odds he'd turn her down? Very high, as it happens. Something to do with that whole student/teacher/ethics thing. But in a few weeks, Annie will graduate. As soon as she does, the unlikely friendship that's developing between them can turn physical--just until Annie leaves for graduate school. Yet nothing could have prepared either Annie or Charles for chemistry like this, or for what happens when a simple exercise in mutual pleasure turns into something as exhilarating and infernally complicated as love.

Inspired by The Hunger Games series, Nathan Alexander's Hunger Gays follows the story of young Aspen Summers who has grown up in a world where young men are rounded up by the government and forced to participate in the deadly MvM match, an annual tournament where there can only be one champion--or one survivor. The feared event not only forces young men into public expressions of sexual domination and submission, but also serves as a reminder that nothing, not even the will of one man, is stronger than the will of the government. But when Aspen finds himself participating in this kinky tournament after a lifetime of repression and poverty, he begins to unlock inner desires that could quite possibly expose and put to shame the government's own actions. Can Aspen rise above his own need for gratification and find true love? Or will he succumb to his now-insatiable desires and become someone capable of bringing the government to its knees?

From the international bestselling author: “An inventively gratifying libertine comedy of errors . . . This monumental novel is satisfying at all turns” (Foreword Reviews).

The Carousel of Desire is a sexual and romantic saga told with a master storyteller’s feel for character and plot and a philosopher’s abiding preoccupation with what makes life truly worthwhile. With tenderness and infectious delight, Schmitt tells an exuberant tale about class and community and about the vastness of human experience. Schmitt’s love of coincidence and serendipity is surpassed only by his affection for his flawed, all-too-human characters: Zachary Bidermann, the powerful European Union commissioner; Faustina, the fashionable book publicist; François-Maxime de Couvigny, the happily married banker with more than a few secrets; Marcelle, enamored with a handsome illegal immigrant; Mademoiselle Beauvert, who makes love with her parrot, Copernicus. These and many more unforgettable characters animate this story of simmering desire and the antics of the mischievous and playful god Eros.

Schmitt’s inclusive, affirming vision of human sexuality is refreshingly free of moral judgment, yet enriched by an understanding of the complex ethics of human relationships and the redemptive power of love.

“A narrative tour de force. Liberated, libertine, libertarian. A brilliant celebration of sexual and moral tolerance.” —La Provence

“A terrific encyclopedia of love and desire. A beautiful novel, at once light, funny, and somber.” —L’Express

“One of Mr. Schmitt’s chief strengths is the ability to precisely chronicle the shifts in his characters’ mental and emotional states, a skill he employs to illuminate the changeable nature of the mind and heart.” —Electric Literature
