Summary

Oscar Roitman gives us an approach of a new way of teaching table tennis and throughout this book – which used a very didactical and clear narrative – he describes the teaching process of Table Tennis through up to day pedagogical and methodological tools. The foundation of all these tools are the author's own experiences as a table tennis player and as a coach.
He has given a large number of lectures along Argentina, always showing a ludic way of teaching, not only centered on "recipes", but giving "keys" to develop the student´s/athlete´s own way of playing or teaching and all its variants. He also gives more than 100 activities and specific games that he has found useful along his 20 years as a coach of beginners and of high performance players.
The author has a great amount of experience as a coach and as a coach of coaches. And is eager to do research about new approaches. This book was originally written in Spanish, because this topic was very poorly developed in the Spanish speaking world, however this English version will allow an even broader audience to get to know this sport through Oscar Roitman´s views.
Available since: 08/04/2021.
Print length: 250 pages.

From the moment I watched a documentary of Chris Bonington and Tom Patey climb the perpendicular flanks of the Old Man of Hoy I knew that my life would not be complete until I had followed in their footholds. That was in 1983 when I was thirteen. Within months I was tackling my first crags and dreaming of standing atop Europe's tallest sea stack with the Atlantic pounding 450 feet below. Those dreams went dark at nineteen when I learned I was going blind. I hung up my harness for twenty years and tried to ignore the twinge of desire I felt every time The Old Man appeared on TV.' Middle aged, by now a family man, crime novelist and occasional radio personality, Red Szell's life nonetheless felt incomplete. He was still climbing, but only indoors until he shared his old, unforgotten, dream with his buddies, Matthew and Andres, and it became obvious that an attempt had to be made. With the help of mountain guides Martin Moran and Nick Carter, and adventure cameraman Keith Partridge, supported by family and an ever growing following, Red set out to confront the Orcadian giant.

The usual daily stress of modern living means adults, and very often even adolescents, adopt tensed-up and faulty postures, which have a particularly negative effect on the horse. Here is a modern riding manual with a completely new training concept specifically designed to counteract the problem:
    * A perfect loosening-up programme, with relaxes and eases.
    * Complex rider’s movements are separated into individual movements for ease of practice.
    * These swinging circles can be practised in day-to-day situations as well on the physio-ball – the substitute horse.
Erika Prockl is a teacher in further education and a certified riding instructor. Not having learned to ride as a child but as an adult, she has personally experienced the suffering of the adult novice rider, and learned from it. This “swinging“ training programme was developed in co-operation with Eva Sogl, a well-known high-level dressage instructor, and has been applied successfully for several years.
This book should be required reading for every riding instructor and adult novice rider.

Strength training seems, to most people, like an inherently male pursuit. Women often looked down their noses at the concept of bodybuilding due to concerns about becoming 'overly masculine.’ Instead many women tend to spend a lot of time in doing other types of exercises such as light toning and cardiovascular exercises. Although these exercises can help to reduce body fat and tone your muscle to some degree, you can never truly change the shape of your body unless you start strength training.

Even a beginner's strength training routine will burn calories and fat. When you lift weights, you put your body through a series of resistance training moves in order to build muscle. This type of training not only replaces fat with muscle, it also increases your metabolism.

This book features a strength training plan that can be used right at home. You'll learn:
    • The benefits of strength training for women
    • Strength training exercises and a 7-day training plan
    • Bodybuilding nutrition and clean eating recipes
    • Strength training tips for beginners

Try the strength training workouts in this book, and it won't be long before you begin to look and feel better.
