Wow, I can't believe it took me years to finally read this book. The main reason I avoided picking up Cinder is that the cover makes this book seem heavy on the fairytale retelling and romance - not a bad thing but not really my taste. However, that's not the case at all. Yes the story still follows the basic Cinderella plot BUT the series manages to stay fresh and original with ton of twists and turns. I mean, the main character is a cyborg in an alternate universe, not your average fairytale retelling.
