Summary

"Good afternoon fellow students, faculty, friends, and family. Many of you know my history and what I went through to get here, and if you don't, be prepared for this story.
The most important lesson I learned from my life experience is there are two directions you can go when you hit rock bottom. The first is to stay flat. You keep living life. You make no changes. That, my friends, is the easiest choice. You know what will happen if you never change.
The second is much harder. When you hit rock bottom, you can climb up. You can dig your way out. You fight for fresh air. That, my friends, is how you change the world. My advice to all of you is to continue climbing, and when you think you are at the peak of the rock, climb some more."  ~Faith Pandesky

But then Daddy reappears on the paper’s front page, his arm around a girl who’s just been beaten into a coma one block from Jane’s newspaper―hit in the head with a crowbar. Jane’s got to find Daddy before he finds her, and before everyone else finds her out. She’s got to protect her invented identity. This is what she thinks she wants. It’s definitely what her dead brother wants.

A rogue agent has come in from the cold and wants to spill his secrets. The Organisation wants Ishmael to find out if Frank Parker is who he says he is, what he really knows, and why he has emerged from the shadows after all this time.

Ishmael heads to Ringstone Lodge in Yorkshire where Parker is being held to find that an atmosphere of fear and suspicion prevails. As he and his fellow residents are menaced by a series of alarming and inexplicable incidents, Ishmael sets out to prove that it’s human trickery rather than any supernatural being behind the seemingly ghostly goings-on.
