One would expect that this erotic book written in the Victorian era would have to remain without any author claiming it since it would have undoubtedly broken all laws of decency. It centres on Frank's sexual journey from his initiation at a tender age to his exploration and adventures which include incest, sodomy and rape. His insatiable desires are detailed by 'him' with little left to the imagination as he enjoys a range of women in his English upper class world in this wildly sensational Victorian erotica.

Misunderstandings, madness, and mayhem abound when a sea dog takes on a determined mother in this hilarious novel set amid the Merchant Marine Academy.   Commodore Robert S. Dickey, second in command at the US Merchant Marine Academy, is desperate to become the top brass. But, so far, his attempts to get the lazy, skirt-chasing Admiral Johnson out of his way have all gone awry. When his latest scheme backfires, he finds himself up against a puzzling new hurdle—his one time partner-in-crime is tired of dealing with WASPs at the Academy. He announces he will settle for nothing less than a bona fide Jew at the command position.   While the Merchant Marines are about as WASPy as it gets, Dickey soon discovers there is a Captain Tannenbaume among the ranks. Now he’s caught in a battle of wits with the captain’s formidable mother, who’s determined to make her precious bubbeleh the next one to take the conn. While Dickey works tirelessly to prove that Tannenbaume is a gentile, Mrs. Tannenbaume must do everything in her power to turn her son and his nineteen-year-old Thai barmaid wife into the perfect Jewish couple.   Outrageous, bawdy, hilarious, and unexpected, this convoluted oddball comedy in the P. G. Wodehouse vein is guaranteed to have even the most land-loving reader rolling with laughter.

Anais Nin wrote her diary at the end of 1931, at the close of a sexually tumultuous and emotional year as part of a ménage a trois with fellow writer Henry Miller and his beautiful wife June Mansfield. 'I really believe that if I were not a writer, not a creator, not an experimenter, I might have been a very faithful wife.' Nin's passionate and consuming relationship with Henry & June transformed a previously monogamous wife into an uninhibited and sexually liberated woman. Henry & June is a forthright and riveting account of a woman discovering her sensuality. Our production is read by Cherie Lunghi. As a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company she has appeared in London and Stratford in many of its productions. Amongst her many film appearances have been Roland Joffe's 'The Mission', John Boorman's 'Excalibur' and Kenneth Branagh's 'Frankenstein'.
