Summary

Knowing where you are going by visualizing your goal

One of the hardest things about succeeding can sometimes be knowing where you want to go. I'm sure we all have a generalized idea of success as having a lot of money and working doing something we are passionate about. However, that's not enough. What you need before you can succeed is a detailed outline of exactly what it is you want to achieve. Without that, all your planning will be useless. Many people prefer not to think about where they want to get to, because perhaps sometimes during childhood we have been discouraged from thinking big. We are often discouraged and told that we are daydreaming and should not get ahead of ourselves. Our motivation is crushed at a young age when people tell us that we are not being realistic enough and that we should make sure we are doing something that is reasonable and stable. This means that we are often discouraged from taking the risks we need to take to succeed in this life. That can be very dangerous, especially for a motivated person.

We all have something we want to achieve in this life, and if we are not allowed to think deeply about it, then we may never take the steps we need to take to get there. It can be very toxic to listen to the people around us who tell us that we shouldn't think about the things we want to think about. When we are not able to develop our vision, we soon forget that we have a vision and get stuck in the monotonous routine of everyday life.
