    Aristotle

For many centuries, Aristotle's Physics was the essential starting point for anyone who wished to study the natural sciences. Aristotle deals with many abstract ideas in this book, examining the phenomenon of being, space, motion, matter, time, infinity, magnitude, and more. This book is basically an explanation on how the universe works--as Aristotle understood it. It's not so much a straight forward philosophical text as it is a sort of compendium of problems that philosophers have spent the past several millenniums trying to figure out. As a book of philosophy, it seems more concerned with creating a system where these sorts of questions can be fully articulated and worked on than it is in fully solving any of them.

    War's Nomads - A Mobile Radar...

“The only known detailed account in existence of the small radar units who played a key part in the Western Desert Campaign . . . Highly recommended” (Military Modelcraft International).  War’s Nomads is an evocative account of one man’s experience of life in a mobile radar unit after the battle of El Alamein as Rommel’s Afrika Korps was relentlessly pursued across the desert through Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia by the Eighth Army.   After Fred Grice was called up in 1941, he kept two journals of his experiences. The first deals with waiting to embark after initial training, the journey to the battle zone, and the privations of a low-ranking AC. Daily life onboard a ship is vividly brought to life with details of routine, the cramped conditions, the banter and hobbies used to pass the time by the troops, and the luxurious-by-contrast existence of the officers. The second gives a detailed account of the activities of Unit 606, a radar crew that follows just behind the battlefront. 606 provided radio-detection for the advanced landing grounds being used by RAF fighter-bomber squadrons, because these landing strips, in turn, were the target of the German Luftwaffe and Italian Air Force attacks. It was a tiny unit, never more than ten men, frequently operating for protracted periods in complete isolation. Fred Grice’s account lyrically evokes the landscape and the often tense and dangerous environment they operated in, pitching the reader into the experience of traveling with the unit in a three-ton truck, finding ingenious solutions to lack of rations and living space, even commandeering an abandoned boat to relax in the sea, while constantly needing to be alert to dodge air attacks.   Along with these colorful first-person accounts, War’s Nomads includes an authoritative introduction explaining the background to the military events of the Western Desert campaign, and the purpose of 606’s mission, which Grice for security reasons could not talk about: to get to a selection of the two hundred or so landing grounds in the desert with all speed—and then defend them against air attack by using a light warning radar set developed to go operational within an hour.

A practical guide to bioremediation: natural techniques that are proven to heal land damaged by pollution.   In the United States and Canada alone, millions of acres have been contaminated by pesticides, chemicals, dirty energy projects, toxic waste, and other pollutants. Conventional clean-up techniques are expensive and resource-intensive and can cause further damage. Communities find themselves increasingly unable to rely on the same companies and governments that created the problems to step in and provide solutions.   Packed with valuable information from visionaries in the field of bioremediation, Earth Repair empowers individuals to heal contaminated and damaged land. It encompasses everything from remediating and regenerating abandoned city lots for urban farmers and gardeners, to recovering from environmental disasters and industrial catastrophes such as oil spills and nuclear fallout.   This fertile toolbox covers various remediation methods including: ·       Microbial remediation: using microorganisms to break down and bind contaminants ·       Phytoremediation: using plants to extract, bind, and transform toxins ·       Mycoremediation: using fungi to clean up contaminated soil and water

Hi:) I’m Amy Applebaum. And I’m really glad you are here!
As a business owner who has made millions and a Life Success coach who has coached dozens of ambitious women (and some men), I believe very strongly that success is just as much about ‘how you think’ as it is ‘what you do’.
Success is first and foremost an Inside Job.
I have seen it in my own life.
I’ve seen it with the entrepreneurs and industry leaders I have worked with whose lives have been wildly transformed just by changing their thoughts and then taking actions on those new beliefs.
Let’s face it. We have a lot on our plate. And those of us who are running our own businesses even more so.
We are giving so much to the world around us.
But things won’t shift until we get those birds on our shoulders to stop the negative chitchat.
And the best fastest way to cut the self-doubt in its tracks is through meditation.
And I make doing meditation dead easy.My MOVE collections are guided meditations.
You don’t have to learn the ‘ins and outs ’of meditation.
All you need to do is throw those earbuds in and drift off to sleep!Downloaded over 500,000 times on places like iTunes and Audible, my MOVE meditations don’t just ‘relax’ and destress, they are specifically designed to help you get MOVING and unstuck. So that you can finally live the life you have always wanted!
