Summary

Malek was a warrior who lost the war, her lover and her soul all in the same battle. This is how she finds disclosure.I created this comic in two days right after the fall of the Twin Towers; you can say it was my personal reaction to that horrible tragedy. Battle of Angels has been published in Australia, England, and (of course) the USA. The artwork is a little unrefined, but people still like it anyway. I hope you also enjoy it, despite it's lack of skill.
Available since: 10/01/2015.

Through the age-old style of pantomime strips, Tatulli's Liō offers a decidedly new and edgy twist to the wordless comic format. That's right—Liō is so crafty it doesn't need word balloons, dialogue boxes, or copious captions. Employing a unique drawing style influenced by cartooning greats Gahan Wilson, Charles Addams, and 19th-century satirist A. J. Volck, Tatulli's cartoon creation is completely nonsyllabic but dramatic nonetheless, and was awarded as 2009's Best Newspaper Comic Strip by the National Cartoonists Society. The result of Tatulli's creativity is a mind-bending, comical, and astute journey into the darkly detailed world of spiky-haired Liō, a curious young scientist and comic book fan whose daydreams embark from the dark chasm where wit and sarcasm collide. Defender of the defenseless and the inventor of a legion of zombie bunnies, Liō is joined in his day-to-day exploits by his exasperated and sleep-deprived father, a pet snake named Frank, a squid named Ishmael, and various imaginary robots and creepy, crawly monsters. Within this humorously macabre framework of sarcasm, parody, and high jinx, sidesplitting laughter abounds—all without so much as a word.

The third volume of this retrospective anthology covers the Pulitzer prize-winning cartoon strip from 1990 to 1999.

On October 26, 1970, G.B. Trudeau introduced the world to a college jock named B.D. and his inept and geeky roommate, Mike Doonesbury. Fourteen thousand strips later, Doonesbury has become one of the most beloved and acclaimed comic strips in history. Over the years, the world of Doonesbury grew uniquely vast, sustained by an intricately woven web of relationships—over forty major characters spanning three generations.

The complete 40: A Doonesbury Anthology presents more than 1,800 comic strips that chart key adventures and cast connections over the last four decades. Dropped in throughout this rolling narrative are twenty detailed essays in which Trudeau contemplates his characters, including portraits of core characters such as Duke and Honey, Zonker, Joanie, and Rev. Sloan, as well as more recent additions, such as Zipper, Alex, and Toggle. Trudeau also includes an annotated diagram that maps the mind-boggling matrix of character relationships.

This third volume of the four-volume e-book edition of 40 covers the years 1990 to 1999 for the celebrated cartoon strip.
