Summary

Lexi has faced many difficult challenges since becoming a member of the Shifter Squad. All were apparently designed to teach her the skills she needs to undertake the duty that Fate has given her. As absurd as it may seem, she is destined to save the world. Thankfully, she won’t have to tackle this daunting task alone.
The rival organization known as EERI are somehow involved in the coming threat. The Squad’s goal is to hunt down the rival organization’s leader and end them before they can destroy mankind. Before they can embark on their search, they are sidetracked by a new mission.
As they begin to close in on their enemy, a new threat arises that heralds the beginning of the end. Their target knows their weaknesses and they will do anything they can to destroy the team’s morale. Lexi was told that she has all the tools she needs to fight her nemesis, but not even her new speed and strength will be enough to save the life of someone she loves.

A quirky fantasy classic by “a writer who knows what wizardry is all about” (Ursula K. Le Guin).   A richly imaginative story of wizards stymied by a power beyond their control, A Face in the Frost combines the thrills of a horror novel with the inventiveness of fairy tale–inspired fantasy.   Prospero, a tall, skinny misfit of a wizard, lives in the South Kingdom—a patchwork of feuding duchies and small manors, all loosely loyal to one figurehead king. Along with his necromancer friend Roger Bacon, who has been on a quest to find a mysterious book, Prospero must flee his home to escape ominous pursuers. Thus begins an adventure that will lead him to a grove where his old rival, Melichus, is falsely rumored to be buried and to a less-than-hospitable inn in the town of Five Dials—and ultimately into a dangerous battle with origins in a magical glass paperweight.   Lin Carter called The Face in the Frost one of “the best fantasy novels to appear since The Lord of the Rings . . . Absolutely first class.” With a unique blend of humor and darkness, it remains one of the most beloved tales by the Edgar Award–nominated author also known for the long-running Lewis Barnavelt series.

Wiping out humanity is his number one objective—until he meets her.
Aramus has no patience or sympathy for the excuses humanity uses to hunt cyborgs down and eradicate them. He’s put up with too much at their hands to ever forgive and forget. But all that changes when he rescues a fragile human doctor who refuses to see him as a machine. She teaches him that perhaps not all emotions are a weakness and that love can make even a cynical cyborg like him stronger.

In this theological, supernatural thriller, for 19-year-old Kallie Hunt, everyday moments began feeling all too familiar. She had a sense that she'd lived them before. But that was crazy, right? Deja vu. That was kid's stuff, right? Been there, done that. Impossible. You got one shot at this life thing. One shot. You lived. You died. End of story. But if that was true, then why would the government be interested in her? Why would priests literally be stalking her? How could a small town girl possibly have anything to do with saving humanity from terrorists and demons? And pray-tell, what does any of it have to do with her first love? For Kallie Hunt, there would be no simple answers. Besides, nothing in life is ever really simple. Not good. Not evil. Not even love...
