Summary

The First Ever Account of Dieting the Revered Shamanic Plant Brugmansia aka Toé / DaturaA personal account of the use of the Brugmansia plant commonly known as “Toé,” is revealed. The plant is native of the Peruvian Amazon and the Andes, where it’s highly revered among shamans. Despite its popularity, the ingestion of this plant is surrounded by many justified taboos due to its toxicity and many dangers.   Javier Regueiro worked and studied intensively with this unique Plant Teacher in 2005 for five months, deep in the Amazon, and again in 2019. These experiences have been essential in his shamanic apprenticeship, as well as a profound personal healing and spiritual process. In The Toé / Datura Diaries these experiences are shared in great detail through journal entries from both shamanic dietas - or diet regimen in Spanish, - as well as extensive commentary on those experiences.Following his first Toé dieta in 2005, Javier Regueiro began working as a plant medicine person and created the Ayaruna Center in Pisac, Peru. Over the last 10+ years he has been offering healing retreats with Ayahuasca and San Pedro / Huachuma plant medicines, both of which he has published books on.While this book is not intended as a DIY manual for ingesting either the Toé or any other potentially risky plants, it does provide a very detailed overview and intimate glimpse into both the traditional practice of dieting medicinal plants. The commentary and insights provided are designed to avoid common pitfalls and maximize the time and effort invested in the profound healing process plant medicines provide. This captivating tale presents an honest and vulnerable journey into the wisdom and medicines of the Amazon jungle. The many challenges faced by the author along the way ultimately led to a profound healing and expansion from engaging with this powerful Plant Teacher.

Whether you remember them or not, dreams are a normal part of sleep. Everyone dreams for about two hours per night, and dreams can occur during any stage of sleep, although they're most vivid during the REM phase. Suppose you've ever woken up from a happy dream feeling relaxed and rested or a scary one feeling on edge. In that case, you might have wondered whether the content of your shut-eye reveries can make a difference in your overall sleep quality.Dream content often relates back to what's happening in your waking life. If you're experiencing low stress and plenty of satisfaction in your day-to-day life, you may have more positive dreams. By contrast, if you're depressed or anxious during the day, you may have more unpleasant dreams and compromised sleep quality at night. The good news is that while you cannot control your dreams directly, you can work on improving your state of mind during the day. This book investigates theories concerning the function of dreams and dreams, starting with Freud's contributions to the present day. Several ideas within psychodynamic, evolutionary, and neurocognitive perspectives are presented and discussed in light of relevant empirical research. These include theories that postulate that the function of dreaming is to guard sleep and approaches which propose that dreaming poses an adaptive advantage either by allowing for the simulation and rehearsal of threat avoidance behaviors, practicing social skills, solving emotional or intellectual problems, or aids us in the consolidation of memories.

This book lets the reader accompany her on her emotional journey. Beginning with Chapter 4, QR codes are provided that will direct readers to photos and videos of the topics discussed to tell a story of hope and courage that will surely touch your heart. Jenny Lowe’s Saved By Hope is a must-read for couples struggling to get pregnant. The author laments the fact that there is a stigma surrounding infertility, so much so that it’s not a topic discussed openly. This book does a great job of creating a compassionate guide to overcoming the humiliation of infertility. With profound honesty, she relates the fear, pain, grief, and hope that springs to life, only to be taken away a few days later. The writing style is casual and informative, with visuals to make the experience more intense. The book opens with Emily Dickinson’s “hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul,” setting the tone for this well-written and perceptive memoir that should provide comfort to those who need it the most. Highly recommended!

Stop Bed Wetting Younger Child HypnosisStop Bed Wetting Younger Child Hypnosis is a self-hypnosis story directed at younger children (ages 3 to 8). Dr. Janet Hall explains how the child's brain needs to tell the body to either wake up and go to the toilet during the night, or how your brain can tell your bladder muscle "Be quiet, shut up, and let me sleep all night". By listening to this you'll get an extra sort of reminder to your brain to be the boss of your bladder while you sleep. The audio is for you to play before you go to bed at night. The story recording is positive, and has a calming relaxation effect on the child which can impact all areas of the child's life, not just staying dry at night. There are direct suggestions about increasing self esteem and self confidence and very best of all, with the story recording, the child is independently pursuing his or her own cure. Since children are usually very good hypnotic subjects, it would seem useful to consider the possibility of hypnosis for assisting a child in learning dryness. Parents are cautioned to seek a therapist who is a qualified and registered hypnotist. Dr. Janet Hall is a member of the Australian Society of Hypnosis. Dr. Jan will often make personalized audio, with direct suggestions for the child to integrate mind and body well-being and comfort. Suggestions are also made for increased confidence and positive feelings of self-esteem. A main goal is to assist the child in having calming and confident thoughts prior to sleep.
