Do you love sweets? Has the economy made it more difficult for you to fill that sweet tooth craving? You might have to stop buying your cookies from the bakery, but you can still enjoy those sweets by baking them yourself. Here are some tips to bake on a budget while also making your sweets taste and look professional.
    * Buy in bulk. Get ingredients like cocoa powder, rolled oats, flaked coconut, nuts and spices in bulk. These ingredients are easy to store.
    * Don't be afraid to use things that are about to spoil. Do you have some bananas which are past their edible state? Use them in some banana bread. Do you have some leftover cooked rice? Turn it into rice pudding. Even leftover mashed potatoes can be used in your baking by making potato fudge.
If you have bananas about to turn but don't want to make banana bread or muffins, then freeze the bananas peel and all so you can use them for baking in the future.
    * Use your pantry. Just the basics from your pantry can be transformed into a great sweet treat. With some peanut butter and brown sugar you have the basis for a peanut butter cake. Add some oats, flour, baking soda, shortening, egg, vanilla and chocolate chips and you've got what you need. Or how about some peanut butter cookies that don't even need flour? Just add some egg and vanilla and you've got a simple peanut butter cookie. Do you have some canned pineapple and some raw carrots? Then you can make a Pineapple carrot cake.
    * If you don't have buttermilk for a recipe, just make your own sour milk by pouring a tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar in a cup of regular milk. Let it sit for a few minutes. It's the perfect substitution for buttermilk. Check online for more substitutions when you're missing an ingredient.

Dr. Joe Schwarcz takes on the quacks and doles out the facts in this eye-opening look at the science around us

Eat this and live to 100. Don’t, and die. Today, hyperboles dominate the media, which makes parsing science from fiction an arduous task when deciding what to eat, what chemicals to avoid, and what’s best for the environment. In Is That a Fact?, bestselling author Dr. Joe Schwarcz carefully navigates the storm of misinformation to help us separate fact from folly and shrewdness from foolishness. Are GMOs really harmful? Or could they help developing countries? Which “miracle weight loss foods” gained popularity through exuberant data dredging? Is BPA dangerous or just a victim of unforgiving media hype? Is organic better? Dr. Joe questions the reliability and motives of “experts” in this easy-to-understand yet critical look at what’s fact and what’s plain nonsense.

Become an Expert on Psilocybin Mushrooms and Grow Your Own Natural Apothecary!
A few years ago, public opinion on cannabis was mostly negative because it was considered a hallucinogenic drug.
Today, the compound of cannabis called CBD is being used to treat serious mental and physical illnesses and has even shown promising preliminary results in treating cancers.
Magic mushrooms are currently going through the same evolution. Up until recently, they too were considered a drug. Now, published clinical studies claim they can be used to treat anxiety, PTSD, cluster headaches and more.
The “magical” compound in magic mushrooms is psilocybin, a psychedelic alkaloid that affects the serotonin receptors in your brain. That part of your brain controls various neurological processes such as sleep, anxiety, aggression, and nausea.
So here’s what you’ll learn with this book: What to prepare for mushroom cultivation, from tools and containments to spores Different types of magic mushrooms and their effectsHow to safely use and dose the mushrooms for healing purposesWhat is psychedelic therapy and why is it becoming extremely popularAnd so much more!
Don’t be alarmed by the word “psychedelic”. The term was demonized because of its connection to various chemical drugs. However, psychedelic plants and mushrooms have been used for thousands of years, not as a drug, but as a medicine and a way to conduct spiritual growth.
So forget everything you’re heard about magic mushrooms, and let this book open your eyes to many healing and divine properties of this incredible Mother Nature’s gift to us!

This book explores the era of the 1970s right up to the present day, illustrating howfighter-bombers and tactics have developed and evolved during this time. It covers all the most significant military conflicts that have characterised this era, including the Eleven Day War of Christmas 1972 in Vietnam and the Falklands War of 1982, when Harrier pilots engaged in aerial battles with Skyhawks and when Vulcans, supported by Victor tankers, flew 'Black Buck' raids on Argentine positions. It also explores the era of the Gulf War, which witnessed the Victor and the B-52 fighting alongside Buccaneers, Tornadoes and F-111s.Then there is the ongoing war against terror, culminating in the opening stages of 'Inherent Resolve' which has seen Tornadoes, F/A-18 Hornets, Soviet-built Su-24M2 and Su-30CM jet fighters, Su-25 SM armoured subsonic close air support/attack aircraft, Su-34 multi-role fighter/bombers and the Tupolev Tu-160 'Blackjack' heavy strategic bombers employed in the war against Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. The author's well-researched historical narrative sets a range of dramatic first-hand crew-member accounts solidly in context, creating a rounded and authentic sense of events as they played out during five dynamic decades of aviation history.
