Summary

Swirl is a new line of collectible, tween-girl-centered stand-alone novels! The stories are fun, light, and realistic contemporary stories about friendship, crushes, school, and family.

We're starting with 4 Swirl books in Fall 2017 to give this a great presence in stores. Book covers and spines will feature easily recognizable "line" packaging, and titles are tied together by the theme of trendy flavors, making them feel cohesive and collectible.

Simon & Schuster (M!X Books) and Scholastic (Wish Books) have both had huge success with this type of tween book line. There's clearly a large tween girl market that loves to read about characters their age going through the same type of everyday issues that they are!

Stories never delve too deep into romance or serious trouble -- which makes these perfect aspirational books for younger readers (not-quite-tweens) who like to read up.

"Pumpkin Spice" merchandise is everywhere, and Starbucks-type coffee drinks feel grown-up in a way that is especially appealing to tweens!

Books are written by multiple authors with great experience in this genre. Each story has totally different characters and plot, and they can be read in any order.
Available since: 03/13/2018.

“I Love You More,” is a perfect story for settling down after a fun-filled day. From meeting Bailey, a seven-year old author, and listening to a fun game she played with her mom, Kim, little ones will make up their own “I Love You More,” examples. But bedtime would not be complete without taking a bath beforehand! Fun music and silly lyrics will take children on a bath time adventure as they sing songs like “Smelly Feet,” and “It's Bath Time!” Finally, sleepyheads will say goodnight with Mama Cat, Mama Mouse, Mama Horse, and Mama Bird for one last story and lullaby. Fun sound effects, engaging songs, and charming stories are a great way to bond before night-night time.

Fifteen-year-old Samuel Scott died while building the Titanic. As the ship sails to her doom, his ghost moves restlessly alongside the passengers and crew: Frederick Fleet: the young look-out who spotted the iceberg and who survived in a life-boat with (the unsinkable) Molly Brown; Howard Hartley Wallace: the heroic band-leader who played ragtime music as the freezing waters lapped at his feet; Harold Bride: the junior radio operator whose messages echoed on, long after the ship had disappeared to its icy grave …

In Freddy and Simon the Dictator, warning had been printed in the Bean Home News and the Centerboro Guardian, but nobody paid much attention to them. An animal revolt? “Preposterous!” said the Beans and all the other humans. But it’s true—and Simon the rat is determined to turn the farm into a dictatorship. Mr. Camphor has been persuaded (much against his better judgment) to run for governor of New York State, Herb Garble shows up, Jinx defects to the enemy (or does he?), and Freddy—that inimitable pig!—goes to work as the political boss of Otesaraga County. Freddy and Simon the Dictator is classic Brooks, in which the master of barnyard hilarity has a lot of fun satirizing politics and—especially—politicians.
