The illicit affair of a devout woman in London ignites a shattering family crisis in the author’s “ruthlessly honest” first play (The Guardian). In a dour Holland Park house with rooms and secrets long shuttered live three unyielding forces for morality: rigidly religious sisters Helen and Teresa, and their brother, a Roman Catholic priest. Into the lives of this insular trio comes their young grandniece, Rose Pemberton, following the death of her mother. To the mortification of her aunts, Rose has also brought her lover, Michael Dennis, who is twenty-five years Rose’s senior, married, and a psychology lecturer dictated by reason, not faith. In a home that reeks of sanctimony, Rose and Michael are as welcome as sin. But it’s the arrival of Michael’s distraught wife—armed with righteous emotional blackmail and worse—that ignites an unexpected fury and makes real the family’s greatest fears. Premiering in London in 1953 and moving to Broadway one year later, Graham Greene’s debut as a dramatist was hailed by Kenneth Tynan as “the best first play of its generation.”

A Beautiful Composition of Broken is inspired by some of the events expressed artistically by Samantha King in the bestseller Born to Love, Cursed to Feel. It serves as a poetic documentary of the lives of people who have been mistreated, misunderstood, and wrongfully labeled in a way that limits them in this world. The author’s most personal volume yet, A Beautiful Composition of Broken builds a conceptual bridge between r.h. Sin’s earliest work and his forthcoming series, Planting Gardens in Graves.
Welcome to an eerie voyage of heartache, loss, grief, and everything in between. With each turn of a page, a poignant story unwinds, reaching into Darkness' undiscovered depths and becoming lifelong comrades with it. Dreary verse by dreary verse, the psyche is doused in a Red Sea of gloom that the sun's healing light has eternally ceased to illume.
The Passion of My Desolation poems dive deep into the dark horrors of life and its struggles.
I love you. I hate you. Please come back. I never want to see you again! Love sucks!
When love is good, it makes us feel amazing and we want to treasure it forever. When love becomes rotten, we become so crazy and delusional that we are torn and confused, drastically trying to replace old love with new, hating ourselves for allowing unwarranted love in, and hating others for not being the ones we marry. Love messes with our emotions, making us praise and smile one minute, while overpowering us with resentment and revenge the next.
However, love is not controlling or manipulative. Love only exists to allow our emotions to wander free and explore who and what we want from those we do not. Love is not an obligation; we do not have to destroy ourselves trying to find it. Love is a choice. Those who want it can embark on their own self journeys while those who do not can sit back and channel inward. Love is beautiful. But love can only be discovered if self-love has already been found.
Always remember to love yourself first.
