Summary

A short mystery with ghosts.
Grace Abrahams helps ghosts who can’t move on until their problems have been solved. The ghosts she meets are attached to items found at storage locker auctions.
Grace meets Curtis Ellicott, a serious young man who is only interested in tax issues. He’s convinced he’s appeared to Grace so she can help with his unfinished work as a tax advisor. Grace is happy to contact his clients but it’s soon obvious Curtis appearance has nothing to do with tax.
As she investigates more, Grace finds out about Curtis’ secret life. And he wasn’t the only one living with a secret.

Sophie's world is shattered when disaster bankrupts her family. She's still reeling when she's offered an unexpected solution: Mr. Argenton, a wealthy stranger, has asked for her hand in marriage. Marrying Mr. Argenton will save her family, but it condemns Sophie to a life in Northwood, a vast and unnaturally dark mansion situated hours from civilization.
Still, she has no choice but accept the offer and hope the darkness won't swallow her whole.
It's a struggle to adjust to her new position as mistress over the desolate house. Mr. Argenton's relatives are cold, and Mr. Argenton himself is keeping secrets. Even worse, the house is more than it seems. Doors slam. Inhuman figures slink through the surrounding forest. A piano plays itself in the middle of the night. Blood drips a macabre warning down the walls. Day by day, Sophie is inevitably pulled towards the terrifying truth at the heart of this gothic mystery: Northwood's ancient halls are haunted, and the man she married―the man she's coming to love―is hiding an unforgiveable truth about his ancestral home...and the spirits that now haunt them both.

In 1995, six university students moved into the house at 215 Caldwell Street. Months later, one of them was found dead on the sofa the morning after their end-of-year party. His death was ruled an accident by the police. The remaining five all knew it wasn’t, and though they went on with their lives, the truth of what happened to their sixth housemate couldn’t stay buried forever. Twenty years later, all five of them arrive—lured separately under various pretenses—at Wolfheather House, a crumbling, secluded mansion on the Scottish isle of Doon. Trapped inside with no way out and no signal to the outside world, the now forty-somethings fight each other—and the unknown mastermind behind their gathering—as they confront the role they played in their housemate’s death. They are given one choice: confess to their crimes or die.

The chances of a fairytale ending in a post-apocalyptic wasteland are slim to none. But so are the chances of surviving hordes of zombies while traveling across the country. So, for Jack Jupiter, the chances mean nothing. He hasn't stopped before and he doesn't plan on stopping now, either.
With Project Reset canceled, Jack and the group head to San Francisco, where Darlene hopes to find her mother and sister . . . dead or alive; because all she wants is closure. While on their journey, they hear of a settlement located in Golden Gate Park called Haven. Weary of what Haven may actually be, the gang proceeds with caution.
But rarely does that work for Jack Jupiter, and a run-in with a group of religious zealots known as the Red Robes slows them down, creating another enemy to worry about.
Though it's not all bad. New friendships are forged along the way, and Jack's hope never wavers, because without hope in this world, you're liable to hit a dead end.
Will Jack, Darlene, and the rest of the group get their fairytale ending? Or will their luck finally run out?
