Summary

Beth Poole's got the wrong ticket to the right life…
English dog trainer Beth Poole is having trouble getting her life back together after beating a life-threatening illness and divorcing her husband. When her Aussie-soap-obsessed grandma sends her to Australia to recover, it seems a great opportunity for some rest and relaxation while she figures out what's next.

But when Beth arrives in Australia things get off to a rocky start. To begin with, she's on the wrong coast and there are deadly creatures everywhere. And if that weren't enough, her neighbors are driving her crazy. She's staying in the beautiful Margaret River wine region, right next door to a family-owned vineyard. It should be perfect, but the boisterous Hardy clan just don't seem able to leave her alone. The usually reserved Beth is soon reluctantly embroiled in their family disputes and romantic entanglements. And eldest son Clayton Hardy is proving surprisingly persistent.

The more Beth gets to know Clayton, the more she sees what she wants for her future. But as the end of summer approaches, her past comes back to haunt her and tests her newfound relationship with Clayton to the limit.

Outrageous nighttime ramblings from a sleep talker’s subconscious, based on “one of the funniest blogs out there . . . A bonafide viral sensation” (Mashable).   Adam Lennard had never been a sleep-talker until, one night while fast asleep, he yelled, “Enough with the cheese! Enough!” From that night, Adam’s exclamations grew exponentially in topic, crudeness, and downright hilarity, and his wife, Karen Slavick-Lennard, had the good sense to write it all down.  Sleep Talkin’ Man is the story of Adam, a mild-mannered Englishman with a wild nocturnal life, possibly an entire separate personality, known only as Sleep Talkin’ Man. Prone to hilariously hostile outbursts and “relentless ego-wanking,” as his American wife Karen terms it, and with notable fixations on both real and invented wildlife, scatology, his own greatness, and the evils of lentils and vegetarianism, Sleep Talkin’ Man has for the last few years had his questionable wisdom captured on audio and shared with the world in the viral blog Sleep Talkin’ Man.  Sleep Talkin’ Man comprises the best quotes and exchanges from the blog, never-before-seen material from Karen’s trove of audio files, and essays telling the story of their relationship, the impact of Sleep Talkin’ Man’s manifestation on their lives, and how Sleep Talkin’ Man resembles and, more importantly, differs from Adam’s waking personality.   “Talking in your sleep was never so funny . . . [Adam Lennard’s] nighttime alter-ego is rude and crude and certainly sounds insane.” —Nick Watt, ABC News

Celebrated playwright Harold Pinter and critically acclaimed biographer Antonia Fraser lived together from August 1975 until his death thirty-three years later on Christmas Eve 2008. Must You Go? is an eccentric, hilarious and often moving testimony of their life together, based partly on Antonia Fraser's own diaries and also her own recollections of their fascinating life together. It is, above all, a compelling love story.

This timeless work of biting satirical wit presents an A-to-Z lexicon of common English terms, and what we actually mean by them. The renowned author Ambrose Bierce produced classic works in a range of genres, from fantasy and horror to realistic tales drawn from his experience in the Civil War. Among his most beloved books is The Devil’s Dictionary, a work of wry humor that remains one of the funniest assessments of American language and manners. Through epigrams, essays, vignettes, and verse, Bierce skewers religion, class, politics, romance, and more. Included, you’ll find such pithy definitions as: ·      Acquaintance, n.: A person whom we know well enough to borrow from but not well enough to lend to. ·      Bride, n.: A woman with a great future behind her. ·      Consult, v.: To seek another's approval of a course already decided on. And many others.
