Summary

Improving the performance of your employees involves one of the hardest challenges in the known universe: changing the way they think. In constant demand as a coach, speaker, and consultant to companies around the world, David Rock has proven that the secret to leading people (and living and working with them) is found in the space between their ears. "If people are being paid to think," he writes, "isn't it time the business world found out what the thing doing the work, the brain, is all about?" Supported by the latest groundbreaking research, Quiet Leadership provides a brain-based approach that will help busy leaders, executives, and managers improve their own and their colleagues' performance. Rock offers a practical, six-step guide to making permanent workplace performance change by unleashing higher productivity, new levels of morale, and greater job satisfaction.

Making Money With Option Strategies is a practical, down-to-earth guide that introduces and fully explains an action plan to reduce risk in any stock portfolio. There are many options books available already, and they fall into two major categories: basic primers limited to explaining the terminology and market of options; and more advanced books discussing theory and pricing models of options.None of these books addresses the largest audience of all—those who know the basics but are not interested in theories and pricing models. They want clear, practical ways to apply these principles to make money and reduce their risks. Making Money With Option Strategies is designed for this market.Michael has traded options since the mid-1970s and is the best-selling options author in the United States. His best-selling Getting Started in Options, a beginner’s book now in its ninth edition, has sold more than 300,000 copies since 1986.Many people view options as exotic, complex, and high-risk beasts. They are not. If your portfolio risk keeps you up at night, adding carefully designed option strategies to hedge risks will help you get a good night’s sleep.

    FOREWORD BY DON TAPSCOTT
CEO of the Tapscott Group, executive chairman of the Blockchain Research Institute, and world-leading authority on the impact of technology on business and society.

The Internet is now, but the future is the metaverse. The metaverse is a virtual-reality space in which users can interact with a computer-generated environment and others. The prediction is that the next ten years will be the golden era of the metaverse, and everyone's life, entertainment, social interaction, and work will increasingly take place in the metaverse world.

This book outlines six important trends in the era of the metaverse, that will see dramatic changes in technology and the bringing together of digital and physical worlds. People will experience a great migration of their social life and economic activities into the metaverse. Furthermore, the authors argue that, in the metaverse, we can get rid of many of the constraints of the physical world, achieve a better self in the new digital space, and truly maximize our own value as human beings. This book sets out how you can seize the opportunity of the metaverse era.

A credit card happens to be one of the most contentious products amongst all the monetary tools that are accessible. Most people pay their expenses using credit cards. However, the leaders and financial experts about using credit cards have completely mixed reviews. In fact there are some who are adamant on destroying the powers of this financial instrument. A credit card is merely a tool and whether or not its services are detrimental or obliging depends on how the users use this tool. A credit card may not be something for everyone. If someone lacks the quality of self-control or responsibility then a credit card may not be their piece of cake.

Alan Jeffcote, son of Nat Hawthorn, Hindle's richest factory owner, meets Fanny Hawthorn, daughter of Nat's 'slasher' and oldest friend, in Blackpool and the two go off for what they believe to be secret fling in Llandudno. But after the death of Fanny's friend, Mary, in a pleasure boat accident at Blackpool the secret is revealed and the the two families are thrown into disarray.

The leading light of the so-called Manchester School of realist dramatists, Stanley Houghton wrote Hindle Wakes in 1911 and it was a hit both in Mrs. Horniman's Gaiety Theatre in Manchester and the Aldwych Theatre, London in the following year. Houghton's best known play, Hindle Wakes has been filmed five times, most recently in 1976 as a TV film starring Donald Pleasance. The play's title refers to the wakes week holiday in the fictional town of Hindle and is also a pun on the name of a traditional Lancashire chicken dish. (Summary by Phil Benson)
